Letter to Sarah Palin Inviting A Denial of the Description of Todd’s Anatomy

The following letter has been sent today by regular mail and by certified mail to Sarah Palin. If a reply is given, I will publish it in full, without any editing, assuming it does not contain death threats or foul language.

Dear Ms. Palin,

I am sure you know that I write a blog daily and that many of my articles have been less than complimentary of you and your husband. I have interviewed Ms. Shailely Tripp and posted a summary of that interview. I have read her book Boys Will Be Boys, in which she asserts that Todd was her pimp. In the book she provides specific and graphic information about how Todd recruited her into a life of prostitution. I found it particularly troubling as she explains that she was so destitute that she was unable to care for her two children who were disabled, that they had to sleep in a public restroom, and that she couldn’t afford sanitary napkins or toilet paper.

Throughout the last four years you have claimed that the press and bloggers have been unfair to you and written “lies”. I seek the truth. I am in the process of writing a book about Todd and Ms. Tripp, and the prostitution services your husband made available to powerful people in Alaska, and elsewhere. I have written to both Todd Palin and John Tiemessen asking for their statements or a response to the allegations of Ms.Tripp, and giving them an opportunity to deny the allegations. They have chosen not to respond and more than 30 days has passed since they each received my letters. I take it by their silence that they are unable to deny the allegations. Mr. Tiemessen threatened to sue Joe McGinnis for defamation, and I certainly do not want to be a defendant in a similar suit.  Thus I am now asking for you to respond in writing or give me an interview, and I will publish your statement verbatim on my blog, and in my book.

In particular there are two specific allegations made by Shailey Tripp of which you would have personal knowledge. First Ms. Tripp describes Todd’s anatomy at page 42. She describes his penis as having two different colors. In my experience as a nurse,  I never observed that condition in the genitalia of any patient for whom I provided care. That characteristic would be quite unusual and something that only people who have been intimate with Todd would know. I am asking you, from your personal knowledge of Todd, if that is true? If it is true then you would be in a position to know that  assertion in Ms. Tripp’s book is true. To date I am unaware of any statement you have issued regarding her book or the claims she makes in it. When the National Enquirer story was published regarding Ms. Tripp’s assertions, you only gave a public statement regarding the story AFTER the Anchorage Police Department issued their “press release” which was issued at the request of your attorney John Tiemessen. At that time you said it was “Lies.” To my knowledge the APD has not issued a press release regarding Ms. Tripp’s book, so any denial of the assertions in the book would have to be based on your personal knowledge.

My second request is that you confirm or deny the assertion by Ms. Tripp in her book at pages 71 through 73 regarding a massage she gave you about six weeks before you purportedly gave birth to Trig. Ms. Tripp asserts she gave you a massage during which you laid on your stomach and she massaged your back. She also asserts that you were specifically asked if you were pregnant and you reported “NO”. If you deny these assertions, I would like to give you a chance to give your version of the facts. If you reply to this letter I will publish your response verbatim on my blog and in my book. If you choose not to reply please do not assert that I told “lies” about you. My goal is to find and report the truth, and if you deny these allegations then it is clear that only one version of the facts is the “truth.”

You are no longer the Governor of Alaska, the Vice Presidential candidate, or a contributor on Fox News. However you continue to be the subject of national news and a public figure who endorses candidates for political office. People continue to give money to your PAC trusting that you are the person you claim to be with the moral values you claim to have. If your husband is or was a pimp, that is information the public should know. If your assertions that you gave birth to Trig are untrue, then the public should know that as well. Surely you would like to put all these allegations to rest and your statement responding to these assertions might shed some light on the truth or deceptive nature of the allegations, by you or Ms. Tripp.

Please respond within 30 days of receipt of this letter.
