In what will come as no surprise to anyone who has been following Herman Cain’s sex-fueled implosion, it is now being reported that Cain’s marriage has been on the rocks for years.
Herman and Gloria Cain may have been married for 43 years, but according to a family insider, their marriage seems as real as Mitt Romney’s tan. “It never felt like a real marriage when I was around them,’’ says the friend. “Mostly he was always gone and his wife seemed to be OK with it. Not being together seemed the norm for their marriage, and Gloria didn’t seem to mind. His kids didn’t seem to mind either. He was king of his castle and no one questioned him,’’ says the friend. “It was an uncomfortable set-up for an outsider like me to be around. He was so indifferent to everyone. But I liked Gloria. She was warm and kind.”
If Cain cares half as much for his wife and family as he professes, he will drop of the race and fade out of America’s collective conscious.

Cain nullified his first portion of his response in the interview in Iowa that he would drop out of the race if his wife told him to by way of saying that she would never tell him to. Code for his wife — I won’t drop out and should he drop out, he’s putting it on her.
That familiar ring of someone we’ve followed for far too long — never taking responsibility for themself. It’s always someone else’s fault.
Hmmmmm — wonder who that could be.
I have to admit, I do have a problem with women who turn their head and enable their husbands. I don’t anticipate hearing his wife play the ‘victim’ — at least not in the next week or so. But we do see so many writing books now, it would not surprise me then the ‘victim’ card gets played.
I’ve been reading comments that some say she stayed for the $$ or would have to change her lifestyle if she divorced. Divorce settlements after decades of marriage to a millionaire don’t leave women destitute. It clearly shows how Mrs. Cain doesn’t respect herself or women in general.
Not only would I not want him as President – I wouldn’t want her as First Lady. It’s the advantage of knowing beforehand so they don’t get the keys to Pennsylvania Ave.
Appears for the Repug party — Vetting has clearly been deleted from their vocabulary. Palin and now this crop of clowns.

If he cares for her, he will divorce her and leave her a big settlement. Then he can philander as he chooses with his retirement income from Godfather’s.

I can only speculate on why Gloria Cain stayed with her low life husband all these years. This arrangement might work for her and she may be getting exactly what she needs from her marriage whatever that is.
Cain is in love with only himself. He shows total disrespect for all women. And it seems like the lower the character, the more they move forward in the GOP. From the day he first arrived on the scene I’ve felt a strong dislike of him and everytime he speaks I get the sense that he’s lying and finding it really funny. Always the sneer on his face – kind of like someone else we know that resides in alaska….

I don’t think Gloria Cain is a woman who wants publicity or the role of first lady. I truly don’t see how she would manage, since she can’t seem to handle being a candidates wife.
One interview.
A sweet lady who accepts the perks of marriage and turns her head at her husbands philandering.
Not unusual.
It is her choice to stick up for her man or leave.
A long marriage is full of choices (temptation for both man and wife) for anyone, and what sticks in one womans craw, is swallowable to another.
You either internalize something like this(Anne Sinclair with DSK in France) and gloss it over, or say no more and speak out or leave, much as Tiger Woods wife did.
I doubt that Gloria Cain would go after hubby with a golf club.
