The Maverick Takes the Bus

 

Fox News has an article out today promoting the bus tour of Sarah Palin. The article quotes Fergus Cullen, a former Republican Party chairman in New Hampshire, one of the stops on the “tour,” as saying “she’s a threat to everyone.” Do you think he was reminding everyone of Matt Damon’s admonition regarding Palin in 2008?. Questions abound regarding this “tour”.

 

1. Who owns the bus that will be used? Politicalgates has revealed that the bus being used is the same bus used in the Sarah Palin’s Alaska “reality”show.

You remember the show that received the $1.2 Million Dollar tax credit for the show that was not political, and not contrary to the best interest of Alaska, even though Palin admitted that the show was politically motivated, even though there were at least 23 examples of political advertisement, and even though it was directly contrary to the interest of Alaskan children who are or might become obese, children who might be injured or killed as a result of riding without car seats or without the benefit of seat belts, and teens who might become pregnant.

 

2. Why does the SaraPAC now feature a new web site regarding the bus tour

with a section entitled “Setting the Record Straight…Just the Facts”?  The article on this portion of the site references her Facebook post of March 30, 2011 regarding the bill Palin signed into law before she resigned as Governor. Even though she has made frequent comments that we should insist that the government “get out of the way”, in this case where the legislation financially benefited her she justified the use of tax payer funds saying that the tax credit “worked.”

3. We know that in the past when Palin says “bus tour” what she really means is a private plane tour, and the bus meets her at the airport.  I wonder if she’ll use the same private plane company on this “tour” that she used for her Going Rogue tour?

 

4. Is Palin simply making up for not being asked to ride the Straight Talk Express of John McCain during the New Hampshire primary.

 

5. In America by Heart, Palin explained that there is “no substitute for quantity of time” with your kids. Is she planning to bring all the kids with her on the bus to ensure a lot of time with the kids? Do you think she’ll have room on the bus for Todd, Willow, Piper, Trig, their teachers, their nanny, their boyfriends, and for the women Todd sleeps with? I wonder if Todd and the women he brings will leave one scintilla of evidence on the bus of their presence? Maybe Todd will follow the bus on his snowmobile…or maybe he’ll just have his own separate bus called the “One Concubine at a time Tour” and the phrase at the bottom of the bus will be…”One Concubine, Under Todd, with Pleasure and Fun for All”?
