Over the past day, we’ve heard from many great Citrix customers about our advertising on The Rush Limbaugh Show. These customers have expressed their growing concern that some of his recent comments seem inconsistent with the core values Citrix has always stood for – humility, integrity and respect.

While Citrix obviously does not control any show’s content or endorse opinions of their hosts, we do take the concerns of our customers seriously. When they are upset about something, we listen. After careful consideration, we have decided to discontinue our advertising on The Rush Limbaugh Show.

  1. Re: the Huff Post article: Of course, the loathsome Limbaugh still has it wrong — aside from apparently not understanding how birth control pills work, he still thinks the public is paying for contraception when, in fact, it is the private health insurance companies that usually get their money from the worker and the employer. Moreover, the insurance companies would rather pay for contraception instead of a much-costlier pregnancy. As Sen. Al Franken titled his book, “Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot,” and he continues to be, only now his advertisers are getting heat for it. I think Rush will soon be joining Glenn Beck in the realm of the ‘headed for obscurity’.

  2. These gutless advertisers have failed to consider the very negative kickback they are going to get from most of Rush’s listeners. They are giving up an audience of 20 million to play the political correct games of the lefties. Most people who listen to him know how the ad game works, and can boycott the companies much more effectively than any lefty group that purports to be the voice of the people. Sleep number is off my list as well as Go To Meeting and any other gutless group who bows to the comunists and socialists who ARE the Democratic Party!!! We actually buy things and these companies have committed treason. F**k them and the corporate toadies that have had their spines removed. We will beat them at their own game!

    1. Stash, you’re out of the loop: even Limbaugh doesn’t claim to have 20 million listeners anymore (he now inflates his audience to 14 million, but it’s been estimated to be more like 1.4 million), and even of his listeners weren’t happy with these remarks. Moreover, the ‘commies’ and ‘socialists’ of the Democratic Party have more disposable income and are mainly younger than the misbegotten people who still pay attention to Rush Limbaugh, so they are more coveted by advertisers. If you’d like to bother to check, the same things were said by Glenn beck fans when he was dropped by Fox News, yet there was no substantial loss by the advertisers who pulled their ads from Beck’s show. Sorry, Stash, but the truth is you’re just a dying breed and not a demographic advertisers much care about these days. Live by the free market sword; die by the free market sword.

    2. Don’t you just love the way the left can justify its own vile name calling (re: Sarah Palin), but get all self righteous when they THINK a conservative does it. Rush has behaved a whole lot better by issuing an apology, and Ms. Fluke has shown her lack of integrity and class by refusing to accept it and continuing to behave like a spoiled brat. Stash is right and we know how to respond to those gutless sponsors. Lost my business.

    3. Stash; I read your post twice and something seemed “off” to me. So I looked up the word treason to see if it had a definition that was different than what I was aware of. I went to WordIQ and found this definition;

      “In law, treason is the crime of disloyalty to one’s nation. A person who reneges on an oath of loyalty or a pledge of allegiance, and in some way willfully cooperates with an enemy, is considered to be a traitor. Oran’s Dictionary of the Law (1983) defines treason as: “…[a]…citizen’s actions to help a foreign government overthrow, make war against, or seriously injure the [parent nation].”

      Please explain to me how a private company deciding to pull advertising support for a talk radio show equates with disloyalty to one’s nation. Did these sponsors swear an oath of loyalty to Limbaugh?

      I will be waiting to read your explanation.

  3. Hooray for Citrix. It’s about time that sponsors of a HATE MONGER take action to address his dispicable behavior
