PRAYER VIGIL TO RESTORE COMMON SENSE- Participants will pray for an end to global warming until God tells Rick and Sarah that the earth has cooled, and that the Republican Party doesn’t disappear until Rick and Sarah have spent all their money.

Your Third Guess should be that they each failed American History in 8th grade. Even though all three seem to be clueless about American history , but are each stupid enough to make public statements, proving that they are clueless about American history. Who could forget Michelle Bachmann’s claim that the Shot heard around the world was fired in New Hampshire, rather than in Massachusetts?
Then there was the video of Sarah Palin sharing her version of Paul Revere’s ride gallantly attempting to warn the British that the Americans were coming.
Rick Perry has now demonstrated he has a lot in common with both Bachmann and Palin. He thought the American Revolutionary war was fought in the 16th century. I wonder if he thinks Paul Revere was riding a T-Rex through New Hampshire, ringing bells, warning the British that the Americans were coming, and shooting his gun which was loud enough to be heard around the world?
Shailey Tripp is the women charged by the Anchorage Police with running a house of prostitution. She is the woman who pled “no contest” to the charges, and was given probation . This week Shailey Tripp appeared before the judge and because she complied with the requirements of her probation, all charges were dropped. In my last contact with her she had not recovered her cell phones or lap top, so we can not yet confirm what information was contained on them that the police chose not to review and/or erased. Shailey has now revealed that:
“… Todd Palin along with other people recruit and groom men and women to be prostitutes. These prostitutes are eventually given positions inside a company and used to secure business deals. These business deals often involve obtaining military and government contracts. The people who use the prositution services are usually in positions of power.
I have witnessed this first hand and am speaking from my own personal experiences.
… I used to think Sarah Palin knew nothing of these kinds of things but I’ve had a year to think it over very carefully, and I am now convinced Sarah Palin not only knew of these actions but went through great lengths to cover it up.
On the same day that I reported that Palin referred to the acts of Arnold Schwarzenegger as being “disgusting” and “irresponsible”,
I am reporting that the conduct of Todd Palin is “vile”, “unlawful,” “sinful,” immoral,” and “loathsome.”
One might question the veracity of the report by Shailey Tripp. I don’t have personal knowledge of the truth of the accusations against Todd or Sarah Palin. Likewise, I don’t think Sarah Palin has personal knowledge about the sexual adventures of Arnold Schwarzenegger or Anthony Weiner. Thus I am commenting about Todd Palin, and the accusations against him, in the same way that Sarah Palin has offered her opinion about Arnold and Anthony.
Yesterday’s post focused on the inappropriate involvement of Sharon Leighow in the review of e-mails and assertion of privileges to attempt to justify the failure to produce documents which were responsive to the FOIA request. “Lou” made a great find among the thousands of e-mails that were produced. Thank you Lou for sharing these with us. Your dedication of time to revealing the truth behind Sarah Palin and Sharon Leighow, benefits all of us.

The interview Sarah Palin did with the magazine Runner’s World was a question and answer format. There was no need to lie. There were no "gotcha" questions. Palin went out of her way to lie about the baby jogger. Here is the relevant excerpt from the interview:
You pretty much prefer to run alone?
I do, I do.
And why's that?
I don't like to talk while I'm running. It's the only time I really am alone, so it's a precious time. If I do a race with friends, they know I'm not going to run alongside them, but it's fun to start and finish together. Running with [1-year-old son] Trig in the baby jogger is nice since I don’t have to say anything. He likes to hear me sing.
WHY WE CARE THAT PALIN LIED ABOUT A BABY JOGGER
Obviously whether Sarah Palin jogs with Trig, in a baby jogger, is irrelevant to the issue of whether she is qualified to be the President. Whether she sings the National Anthem to Trig on the trail is of no consequence to the future of our country. It is the deception to which we object. Repeatedly Sarah Palin has lied about who she is.
The Reason Her High School Basketball Team Won the State Championship.
Sarah Palin characterized herself as the player that led her basketball team to a state championship. The truth is that in the final three games of the state tournament she was unable to play. She only scored a total of 6 points in the last three games. The coach put her in during the last minute of the last game when her team was ahead by 4 points. Sarah did make one of her two free throws at the end of the game, so her team won by 5 points instead of 4. However to suggest that Sarah was responsible for the win was a total fabrication. She was not the basketball champion. Bennett, Trailblazer.
The Hunter
During the speech Palin gave at the RNC where she introduced herself to the country, she portrayed herself as a hunter. The truth is that she didn’t even have a hunting license in 2008 and 2009.
The Champion of Ethics Reform in Alaska
Palin has repeatedly painted a portrait of herself as the champion of ethics reform in Alaska. However in the Troopergate matter, a bi-partisan committee determined that she:
Then, as if to challenge the intelligence of the electorate, Palin said she had been cleared of any “hint of unethical” conduct.
The Fiscal Conservative
Palin has repeatedly labeled herself as a fiscal conservative. She is known for saying that the government should “Get out of the Way.” Even if Sarah Palin lies, the numbers don’t. Here are some worth noting:
$5,500,000.00 – amount of federally funded earmarks Wasilla received while Palin was Mayor.
$35,000.00 – amount Palin paid per year for the lobbyist hired by Palin while mayor of Wasilla to obtain earmarks.
$26,000,000.000 – amount of federal tax dollars spent by Palin on the “Road to Nowhere”, a road leading to the edge of a cliff where the bridge was originally intended to be built, but was canceled before construction of the road was started. According to the Alaska Transportation Priorities Project, a group promoting “sensible transportation systems in the state,” the “Road to Nowhere” was an “irresponsible waste.”
$27,000,000.00 – amount of federal earmarks Palin secured with the help of her hired lobbyist for Wasilla’a town of 6,700 residents.
$197,800,000.00 – amount requested in earmarks for Alaska while Palin was Governor; a total of 31 earmarks representing more per person than any other state in the United States.
$233,000,000.00 – amount requested by Palin for the “Bridge to Nowhere”.
$3,000.00 – amount of debt incurred by each resident of Wasilla during the time Palin was mayor.
$50,000.00 – amount of city funds Palin used without authorization to redecorate Mayor’s office in Wasilla, including red wallpaper that made it look “like a bordello” according to Wasilla City Council member.
$1,200,000.00 – amount of debt of Wasilla had when Palin began as mayor.
$24, 800,000.00 – amount of debt of Wasilla had when Palin left as mayor.
70% - amount of debt-to-GDP ratio of Alaska when Palin resigned as Governor. That debt represents the highest state debt burden in the United States.
Sarah Palin and aides like Sharon Leighow have knowingly, purposefully, and intentionally lied to America. From political issues to jogging with Trig we have proof that Sarah Palin is a chronic liar. No wonder there is so much controversy about whether Trig is actually Sarah’s child. Sarah has taught us to distrust everything she says. She and her aides have engaged in a pattern of deceit that is unrivaled in American politics. That is a profound accomplishment.
In an article out this morning, Thomas Kidd discusses the fact that many politicians make mistakes regarding history. He explains that the critical trait is to be able to admit to the mistake, which Palin is not capable of doing. The article comes from an author who is not a “politico”. In fact he is an “Evangelical”. He teaches history and is a Senior Fellow at the Baylor Univ. Institute for Studies of Religion, and writes a column, “Faith in History,” that is published on an Evangelical portal.
It seems that even though Sarah Palin is an employee of Fox, and even though Palin and Tina Fey are national celebrities, Fox News can’t tell the difference. I wonder if they could tell the difference between Paul Revere
and one of the guys in the singing group?
Sarah Palin is notorious for saying that the government should “Get out of the way.” Most conservatives that heard this and agreed were probably not considering the fact that the government is responsible for providing such necessary services as national defense of the country, ensuring the safety of our food and drugs, providing police and firefighters when needed, and even providing air traffic controllers to guarantee the safety of our flights. One of the most basic of laws that the government provides is the regulation of American highways. From setting speed limits to mandating the use of seat belts, the government serves a vital function regarding our highways. Sarah Palin objects to even laws regulating speed and use of seat belts. In Sarah Palin’s Alaska, she flaunted the lack of use of seat belts or car seats by her son, grandson, and daughters. Even when Todd was driving and wearing his seat belt, Sarah was often riding along totally unrestrained.
In his book Blind Allegiance ,Frank Bailey explained:
“ In distrust for rules, Sarah mirrored Todd. For Sarah, less government extended to liquor, gun, helmet, cigarette, and even seat belt laws.”
Sarah said:
“Heck,I don’t even agree with Click-it or Ticket seat belt laws,…” (Pg53-54).
To say that she loves her family and loves the people of Alaska, but doesn’t support seat belt laws is contrary to the law and to logic. Accidents are the leading cause of death among children and adolescents. Automobile accidents account for the largest number of these accidents. Use of car seats, booster seats, and seat belts use are critical to limiting these deaths. State Farm is the largest insurer of autos in Alaska and in the nation. State Farm has raised its car insurance rates in Alaska due to an increase in automobile accidents. State Farm explains that “car crashes are the leading cause of death and injury to children, but using car-seats appropriately can greatly reduce the risk. Palin’s children are at risk for many things, and injury in an automobile is one.
Sarah Palin is openly defiant of laws she doesn’t like. From seat belts to hunting and fishing licenses, we see a form of rebellion and arrogance that is inconsistent with the notion of loving America. Palin’s bus tour has reinforced this image. The bus is accompanied by two smaller SUVs. All three speed, the bus and the two SUVs, run red lights and stop signs. They often don’t signal, and change lanes at the last minute, without signaling in an effort to avoid being followed by journalists. Those journalists trailing her on the “One Nation” tour bus describe the experience as harrowing, a rolling menace careening up the East Coast in hot pursuit of the former Alaska governor who declined to provide any advance itinerary of her tour.
Admittedly there have been times in American history when people we now identify as “heroes” (e.g. Rosa Parks, ) intentionally broke the law.
The difference between Rosa Parks and Sarah Palin is that Rosa was riding the bus to demand equality of treatment, and when Sarah Palin’s bus ignores traffic laws she demands to be treated better than the “average” American. Palin complains about the “elite” in this country. From celebrity attention to a net worth of $12 Million Dollars, Palin IS part of the “elite.”. Even the “elite” have to follow traffic laws. Bill Gates’ chauffeur follows the traffic laws, and I bet Bill wears his seat belt. Palin seems to have an attitude of “in your face.”
In Anchorage, it appears she controls the police, causing them to issue press releases whenever her attorney determines that one is needed. Alaskan government officials seem to be unaffected. They even allowed Palin to make $2,000,000.00 from the filming of Sarah Palin’s Alaska, even though it was admittedly a political advertisement and detrimental to the people of Alaska . Now her outright defiance of the highway safety laws is evidence that she thinks the law doesn’t apply to her, and that she is unconcerned about the safety of her children. When she was described as “going rogue” that may have been a more accurate description of Sarah Palin that we knew.
This morning on Forbes.com, Erik Kain describes the attempt made by some to defend Sarah Palin’s stupidity regarding her account of Paul Revere’s historic ride. Mr. Kain describes the absurdity of attempting to justify the description of Paul warning the British that the Americans were coming. I have only one thought to add, which is that if Paul Revere was famous because he warned the British that the Americans were coming, we surely wouldn’t be celebrating his heroic act, and would not remember him as an American hero!
