Women constituted the majority of voters in the 2008 election. To John McCain’s surprise, gender was not the motivation for our votes. McCain’s pick of Sarah Palin as his running mate was outrageous. Some women voted for McCain in spite of Palin. Others worked harder to elect Barack Obama because of Sarah Palin. Grandma Palin is tenacious. She has demonstrated her ability to accomplish a goal, but tenacity and prolificacy should never be confused with competency. Palin is not a competent professional woman or a dedicated mother. She characterizes herself as a “rogue” and the “Rebuttal to the Rogue” illustrates why that is an accurate description. Palin is a scoundrel

Review of “Rebuttal to the Rogue” from noted Wasilla blogger Syrin:
It was a privilege to read this Rebuttal and I found it very easy reading and especially appreciated the long list of references which proved that the author had done much research into the subject.
It was nice to see that Mrs. Litman took such care to note the many reasons she feels that Sarah Palin is not a good example of what women in politics should be. It is exciting to see that someone else noticed the lack of experience & education that Sarah has and I too wonder why so many people in the United States think otherwise.
Some facts in particular that I thought I knew, but the book gave me more knowledge & understanding.
1. I knew Sarah had attended several colleges, but I didn’t know that she attended 5 colleges in 5 years. Her high school accomplishments were mostly about sports & cheerleading, not academics.
2. I knew Sarah had a degree in Broadcast Journalism but I never thought much about the fact that it was only a Bachelor’s Degree. This certainly shows that she isn’t very focused on her education and makes one wonder why she stopped at a Bachelor’s Degree. America should expect higher education for those they intend to have serving in any political position of power. The book also points out the lack of focus regarding education by the entire family.
3. I knew about her objecting to library books when she was Mayor of Wasilla, but I didn’t know that she never read the book she wanted to ban and I didn’t realize the book was a picture book with only 13 sentences.
4. Pointed out very simply in the book were 5 wrongs that show how Sarah is a perfect example of the “Peter Principle” (People rise to their level of incompetence).
5. Several examples of Sarah’s misunderstanding of the English language were given and I know she can’t pronounce Legislators, but I didn’t know she can’t pronounce nuclear.
6. I know she has difficulty speaking in public, but by reading her answers to questions or her confusing statements, I realized that she is even worse than I thought.
7. Chapter 5: Shame on you John McCain, pointed out McCain’s bad attitude toward women and just how poor his choice of Sarah as a running mate really was.
7. I thought I had heard most of the jokes made about Sarah, but the book has many interesting and very good ones that I had never heard. Goes to show how much more of a joke she is and how bad it makes our State look.
8. I knew that Sarah wasn’t my idea of a good parent, but I never really thought how others might perceive her lack of caring regarding her 5 children and her giving up her time with them to be so busy being in the public eye. It pointed out her selfishness regarding her family & motherly duties.
I must say I hope many people read this great rebuttal so they can truly see that our Nation must have been star struck by the falseness and inadequacies of McCain’s choice. I thought the book was very factual and very well written and the author has more credentials to be Governor or Vice President or serve in any political office than Sarah Palin. Thank goodness someone took the time to point out the information about Sarah in a way that might actually give America better incite into the truth.

I Have One Question That it’s driving Me Bananas. Since When Does Ones Autobiography Or Memoir Is In Need Of A Rebuttal?

Well,Jim,most autobiographies or memoirs do not. However, Palin’s autobiography is filled with misinformation and distortions. There are even outright lies in it. It reads like a poorly written work of fiction. You have given yourself away as a Palin-bot by your “creative” grammar in your last sentence. Might want to work on that, sparky, if you’re going to continue to try to pass for a normal person.

Interesting comments about the book. I don’t know what kind of a mother she is, but she does seem to have picked making money over raising her kids. Maybe her husband has taken over, we hope. But the comment about her not being there with her children was kind of sexist. It is culturally accepted, and even expected, that a male politician will be away a lot and neglecting his wife and children. That’s ok I guess, but if a woman does it, it is pointed out and looked down on. A double standard in my eyes. Don’t you think? In spite of this, I think she is pitiful, but the Republicans still love her to death, so she is dangerous.

momklok, I agree, and in writing my first book, Rebuttal to the Rogue I discussed the concept of Todd as the “stay at home dad” who was never at home. He trained for the Iron Dog every year, worked on the North Slope, and had a commercial fishing business in Bristol Bay. However this impression was confirmed in the TLC show this weekend when Palin admitted that every year during their entire marriage she had spent 6-7 months away from Todd. In Going Rogue Palin says that she couldn’t tell Todd about the diagnosis of Downs syndrome for days because he wasn’t home. Thus it is not sexist to suggest the ALL parents have a moral obligation to every one of their children to make sure that one of them is around to provide the parenting they deserve. It doesn’t seem that Sarah or Todd share my opinion. Malia

SP has a special needs baby that she slung around on stages like he was a sack of potatoes. That was enough for me. You do not “showcase” a baby that needs to be shielded from such stimulation so early in his development. Then we have Bristol, Willow and Track. I think the family dynamics speaks volumes.

I’ve been obsessed with sarah palin since she hit the national stage with that horrible man….I have never been so repulsed/facinated and horrified all at the same time. There’s not enough space here for all the things I’d like to say but I’ll try to make it brief and to the point. In my opinion this woman is a dangerous influence and she is a traitor – she is a verbal terrorist. She is like the mean girl at school on a global scale. Her ability to influence followers to attack, threaten and harass those that oppose or disagree or even demand the truth from her is very, very disturbing. I send you my deepest thanks and appreciation for your continued efforts to expose her lies…..but I believe it’s not in exposing her lies that will finally end her reign of terror….the repubs created her and they’re the only ones that can destroy her – they made this monster and she cost them dearly in the recent elections. They know they have to get her back in the cage without bloodshed and that aint gonna be easy…

Sharon,
Thank you for your help and support! I share you fear that it will take conservative voices to educate the electorate about the “REAL” Sarah Palin. That is the very reason that I put together the new web site http://www.justsaynotobs.com. My hope is that when she announces that she is running that there will be one place people could go to find out who she really is. Instead of reading all the articles or books I have written over the last two years, I have featured Palin herself and Republicans talking about her. I hope that everyone reading will refer their friends and family to the web site, and that everyone will conclude that even if they want a Republican in the White House they should demand better than Palin. What I find fascinating about Palin’s followers (white, over 50 and I’ll throw in fundamentalist leaning) is that these adorers would never allow their wives to behave like this. Has anyone checked out the vows at a wedding held in a fundamentalist church. They are archaic, definitely make the bride vow to be subservient to the groom. I suppose since these over 50 white men support Sarah, it is OK for their spouses to also support Sarah. Oh, the double standard and hypocrisy of it all.
I think it would be interesting to see the number of days Sarah has actually spent in her home, with her family, in the last two years. And no, I’m not talking about the drop-ins to repack and leave again. I am talking about extended time.
Palin lost me in the very beginning when she subjected her infant with Down Syndrome to the bright lights, ear deafening noise at the Republican Convention. She lost me when she entrusted her then 8 year old with an infant to lug around a stage at the Vice Presidential debates. She buried herself with me when she used her son during her book tour, no matter what the weather, he was not dressed for the cold, while she was. She is a horrible mother and Todd not much better father. Her older children have grown up unsupervised and undisciplined and that’s why the three older children have gotten into so much trouble – all in different ways. She is base, can’t sink any lower with her language and lack of knowledge. You reap what you sow and we are all seeing this in her children.

suz1941,
I think from the moment I saw her parading Trig out at the RNC convention, I too felt she was using her child. When I read that a Federal Judge made reference to her using her child as a prop, I knew I wasn’t alone. Most mothers I know get it,and realize that she is using her children…every one of them, and any mother who cares about her children would not leave them like she does, unless there was no choice. This may seem like a small observation, but I share the reactions of all here who noted that all through the campaign when she was toting Trig around “like a sack of potatoes,” obviously exploiting him as a prop, she always clutched him sadly around his middle, him face-out and away from her. I still have this image of her trotting down the airplane stairs, Trig’s head bobbling helplessly every step of the way. I saw the same grip on many occasions and it pegged her for me as an insensitive, non-nurturing mother. The most nurturing, protective – and loving – way a parent naturally holds an infant is, I believe, face-to-face, to one’s chest, to maximize the baby’s comfort as well as keeping a caring, physical bond between you – especially when in crowds and public places. This would be virtually instinctual behavior with any caring mother, I’d think.

Malia I nearly LMAO just now. You must read this article about a police officer in Anchorage who is a Mexican citizen who used a fake passport to get a job with APD. He worked for the APD for six years. I can’t stop laughing. It looks like he was not trying to do anything other than be a pretend U.S. citizen. They must do really extensive background checks….not. He was using someone else’s identity and a false name.

Hey Malia,
Are those actually your gums, or are your teeth falling out. you sure look ugly. I read in a medical journal that a mouth that looks like yours is usually indicative of a combination of herpes and syphilis of the mouth. You should have your lesbian friends checked, it looks like they gave you something really bad. If your mouth looks that bad I’d hate to see your genitals, your mouth made me puke.
Regards, Brad

My God what an ugly **** and helplessly pathetic loser Litman is, who can’t stand it because her life as a doorknob pales in comparison to Mrs Palin, so in your misguided jealousy you worry more about whats going on in Anchorage Al than Dallas Texas. Who paid for this crap, did you get a grant from Acorn? What a pathetic loser and mooch you are. Hahahahahahaah!!!!

I ENJOYED READING MS LITMAN’S BLOG AND HER RESPONSES. SHE IS RIGHT ON THE MONEY WHEN IT COMES TO THE PALIN’S. INTERESTING THAT SP PREACHES MOTHERHOOD AND ABSTINENCE AND REDUCING THE DEFICIT, EXCEPT WHEN THE IT GETS IN HER WAY. TO HELL WITH MOTHERHOOD WHEN HER CAREER IS LOOMING, NOW 2 OF HER TEENAGE KIDS HAVE HAD CHILDREN BEFORE THEY DECIDED WHETHER TO MARRY THE FATHER OR MOTHER OF THAT CHILD , AND IT’S OKAY TO FLY HER CHILDREN ANYWHERE AND CHARGE IT TO THE GOV’T. IT IS ONLY THE UNEDUCATED SOCIOPATHS WHO CANNOT SEE WHAT SHE IS BECAUSE SHE REPRESENTS THEM. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SANITY. I’M TRULY SORRY FOR THE LAST FEW POSTINGS. HMMMM, ANGRY, VIOLENT, RUDE, UNEDUCATED VOICES SPEWING HATE. OH YEH, THEY’RE TEAPARTY MEMBERS. (NOW THAT I HAVE FOUND YOUR SITE I WILL CHECK IN OFTEN)

hello malia, nothing too interesting to say except i am anxiously waiting for the results of the wisconsin elections today. i am always checking the immoral minority site also and really i am so grateful to have, who is it, gryphen, doing SUCH a great job with the latest news regarding her insanity and inevitable downfall, AND WHAT A FALL IT WILL BE! the bigger they are the harder they fall and this should be a doozy. nothing will surprise me. the johnson playboy interview should be interesting, although i think any media outlet would have been interested in her story, but maybe, at her age, the money just looked too good. it is something i wouldn’t have done at her age, but maybe she just has no compunction about it. some people are just more comfortable with their bodies then others are although i’m sure the teapartiers are going to go crazy that she is so willing to show her body, you know the body their GOD gave her, something she should be so ashamed of? i know this is debatable also the new book about sp should do my heart good as well as the new movie, you betcha. malia, i need to get my last name off here, ha ha ha , i didn’t realize it would post. how???

Just finished your book – wonderfully written and full of facts . I am a Canadian grandmother of two granddaughters. If I were American or had American relatives I would have your book in my two daughter’s and two granddaughter’s Christmas stocking as well as any other female relative. I can’t think of a more appropriate gift to stimulate their thoughts at this time
Thanks again. By the way, I noticed your support Planned Parenthood – do they carry your book in their offices to have on loan for their female clients?

Claudette,
I am thrilled you liked the book! I never aspired to be an author, but felt compelled to write to create a permanent record that Sarah Palin doesn’t represent me! I started this blog because someone told me it was a way to get people to notice the book, and now the blog has taken on a life of its own. Planned Parenthood is very happy with the book, but they are being very careful not to promote it as they can’t be associated with any political philosophy.

of course like your web site Rebuttal to the Rogue Malia Litman's Blog but you need to check the spelling on several of your posts. A number of them are rife with spelling issues and I to find it very bothersome to tell the truth nevertheless I’ll definitely come again again.
