It was September 8, 2010 when Sarah Palin posted her condemnation of Koran burning on her facebook page, calling it “insensitive” and “unnecessary”. In particular she said:

“Book burning is antithetical to American ideals. People have a constitutional right to burn a Koran if they want to, but doing so is insensitive and an unnecessary provocation – much like building a mosque at Ground Zero.”

“Our nation was founded in part by those fleeing religious persecution. Freedom of religion is integral to our charters of liberty. We don’t need to agree with each other on theological matters, but tolerating each other without unnecessarily provoking strife is how we ensure a civil society. In this as in all things, we should remember the Golden Rule. Isn’t that what the Ground Zero mosque debate has been about?”

Now that President Obama has recently apologized for the inadvertent burning of the Koran by U.S. military in Afghanistan, Palin has changed her attitude. The controversy arose when U.S. troops mistakenly placed Korans with other material destined for the incinerator at Bagram air base last Monday, Afghans and some Muslims in other countries have staged multiple protests and several deadly attacks. Thirty people, including four U.S. troops, have been killed, and scores wounded in response to the burning of the Koran. In an effort to save further unnecessary retaliation and killing, President Obama issued an apology for the accidental burning.

He said:

“The error was inadvertent; I assure you that we will take the appropriate steps to avoid any recurrence, to include holding accountable those responsible.”

Obama has come under attack by Rick Santorum for his efforts to limit the response of the Taliban to what was an accident.  Newt Gingrich called the apology from the President “astonishing” and undeserved. Yet when it was George Bush, a Republican, responding to a similar incident, and he apologized, we heard no criticism from the right.  Today, in an effort to divert attention from his poor performance in the Arizona and Michigan primaries, Newt is attacking Obama again over this apology.

Even more offensive is the Sarah Palin facebook post where she says:

“Obama apologizes for the inadvertent Koran burning this week; now the U.S. trained and protected Afghan Army can apologize for killing two of our soldiers yesterday.”

Not only is she critical of Obama’s attempt to bring about peace and end the senseless loss of life, but one man’s life hangs in the balance. Many more may be affected by the outrage over the Koran burnings, but one man may loose his life as a result of tension in Iran associated with his religious beliefs even if they are related to U.S. actions in other countries. Christian pastor, Youcef Nadarkhani, has been sentenced to death for his Christian beliefs.

While Hillary Clinton and NATO have been working hard to convince the Iranian government to spare the life of Youcef, the Republicans, including Sarah Palin, have attacked President Obama’s efforts to minimize the tension over the Koran burning. Jesus and Ronald Reagan have been cited most often as respected leaders of the Republicans. If Jesus or Reagan were faced with this situation they would say:

“Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. James 5:16

“Peace is not absence of conflict; it is the ability to handle conflict by peaceful means.

Ronald Reagan

Now that the Commander in Chief has apologized for a mistake made by soldiers for whom he is accountable, Palin attacks Obama for apologizing for the same conduct she previously called “unnecessary” and “insensitive.” It appears Sarah Palin makes decisions about acceptable conduct based upon whether the person committing the act is a Democrat or a Republican. The Islam religion is the second largest in the world with 1.5 Billion followers and over 22% of the earth’s population. While the Christian religion is the largest religion in the world, it represents only 33% of the world’s population. Christians teach that we should “love one another” and burning the holy book of 22% of the world’s population doesn’t seem to be in keeping with that message. If the apology of our President saves even one life, wouldn’t that be a good thing?

Six of eight of the Republican presidential hopefuls convened in Des Moines yesterday to make presentations about the reason Americans should vote for them. It seems that positions on abortion became the primary focus of the presentations.  When it was Rick Perry’s turn to proclaim his devotion to religion, he said:

“When it comes to faith, it is the core of who I am. It is an essential act as much as breathing is an essential act,” Perry said. “I found the true source of hope and change, and that is a loving God who changes hearts of stone into hearts of flesh.”

Perry’s statement comes as no surprise. After holding a “prayer meeting” in Houston, we recognize Perry more as a hypocritical pastor, than as a hypocritical politician.

For Rick Perry “Being pro-life is not a matter of campaign convenience. It is a core conviction.” Perry’s characterization of himself as a devoutly religious man is offensive. It’s a lie. It’s insulting to every thinking voter in this country for Rick Perry to suggest that he should lead anyone, anytime in prayer. No matter to whom, if anyone, you pray, Rick Perry is NOT praying with you. He is using people who are religious, for political gain. Here are just a few examples of the religious nature of Rick Perry:

1. Rick Perry lies. At least 10 lies have been documented.

2. Under Rick Perry’s leadership, one out of every 4 children in Texas lives in poverty.

3. Texas is recognized as having one of the worst child-abuse records in the country. In Texas 10.2 out of every 1000 children suffered CONFIRMED abuse or neglect. Thirty-nine percent of those children were between the ages of 1 and 3 years old. In spite of this neglect and abuse, Perry has repeatedly slashed funding for child abuse prevention. The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services will see a loss of nearly $40 million.

4. In spite of having the highest number of citizens without a high school diploma, Perry has gutted the education budget in the state. In Rick Perry’s Texas, he is willing to lay off 100,000 teachers, but widening streets is a priority.

5.  Rick Perry is so concerned for his fellow-man that he has left 60,000 elderly people homeless and 335,000 jobs have been lost.

6. Rick Perry advertises himself as a proponent of Right to Life, when considering a woman’s right to prevent implantation of a fertilized egg. However when it comes to the execution of innocent adults, Mr. Perry isn’t so concerned about “life”.

7. At a time when Texas is facing the worst drought and wild fires in 100 years, Rick Perry dramatically cut the funding for the volunteer fire fighters who provide 80% of the state’s fire-fighting capacity.  Not only have people lost their lives and homes, but the state is facing $5.2 Billion in agricultural losses. Ranchers in Texas, the largest cattle producing state, have had to rush their cattle to slaughter. High temperatures and no rain have devastated the cotton crop in Texas, which is the biggest crop in Texas, and previously provided about 50% of cotton for the entire country.

8. While Rick Perry objects to giving women their constitutional right to terminate a pregnancy, he has ordered that Gardasil be given, which has been associated with potentially fatal side effects.  He has also demonstrated his willingness to order a doctor to perform an unnecessary medical test, for the purpose of inflicting distress upon a woman, at the expense of the tax payers.

For Rick Perry and other Republicans to appear in Iowa and advocate opposition to abortion in spite of the financial disaster the country is facing is all about politics and has nothing to do with what is in the best interest of the country. These social conservatives have demonstrated their willingness to impose their moral beliefs on others, while condemning the federal deficit. The truth is that ending the right of a woman to receive an abortion would be a unsustainable expense to the country.   Increases in prison populations, increases in uninsured women and children, increases in unemployment, and increases in crime are all documented consequences of the inability of women to have an abortion. Even if you ignore the financial impact of reversing Roe v. Wade, ending the option of an abortion may mean death to some.  Remember my nephew Palmer.

Rick Perry has proven himself to be evil. He uses religion and God for political purposes. Evangelicals compromise 26% of the country.  Surely if they knew what we know about Rick Perry, they would recognize the fraud that he is. Please help educate the conservatives you know about the dangers of Rick Perry. They have many potential candidates to choose from, but Rick Perry should not be one of them.  He is not the best choice for their pastor, and he is surely not the best choice for President.

Republican candidates agree on one thing! Whatever happens will be God’s will.

When Sarah Palin was chosen as McCain’s V.P., it was God’s Plan. When McCain lost the election, that was God’s plan too. Palin explained … “it was in God’s hands.” Evidently God washed his hands of Sarah Palin long ago. Now he has used his clean hands to slam the door in her face when she contemplated running for President. Let’s just hope that the whispers of the Holy Spirit telling her to just “go away” can be heard over her cries of distress.

All the polls agree that Hermain Cain, Mitt Romney, Michele Bachmann, and Rick Perry are the Republican frontrunners. It seems that they all agree … God has chosen each to be President. God selected Rick Perry.

He selected Michele Bachmann. She said:

“I am a Christian, as is my husband. I became a Christian when I was 16 years old. I gave my heart to Jesus Christ. Since that time, I’ve been a person of prayer. And so when I pray, I pray believing that God will speak to me and give me an answer to that prayer. That’s what a calling is. If I pray, a calling means that I feel like I have a sense from God.

It’s eerie how tight Bachmann is with the Almighty.

Herman Cain believes the decision is in God’s hands.

Even Mitt Romney has explained that God did not intend this country to be a nation of followers. He uses God to justify his position that we need more soldiers, 100,000, to fight and kill people. If God tells Mitt Romney how many more soldiers we need to kill and be killed, then it isn’t a stretch to understand that God also chooses the President.

Campaigning, spending money, giving speeches, and kissing babies seems blasphemous. If God knows who should win, then he will inspire voters to pick the chosen one in the GOP Primary. If any candidate tries to convince people to vote for them, that might be contrary to God’s will. Why don’t the Republicans just suspend each of their campaigns, go to church and pray until the date of the primary, and donate all their campaign money to reducing the national debt? Here’s an even better idea. Why don’t they all go to church and stay there praying until November of 2 012?

The following is NOT true. Sarah is in South Korea speaking to people who don’t speak English, and Rick Perry is speaking, but nobody knows what he said. If they were both available, and if either had thought about this, they probably would do it.

Gosh darn it! How long does it take for God to make up his mind whether he wants Sarah to run for President? He’s had plenty of time. Sarah has talked with him often, so he’s had ample opportunity to bring up the subject. What’s wrong with him? Is He scared or intimidated by her? Is he afraid that Todd and his buddies will beat him up?

From the minute the election of 2008 was over, God should have been considering all options. What was he thinking? Tim Pawlenty declared his intention to run in March 2011.That should have been a wake-up call to God, if he wanted Sarah to run. That should have jogged his memory. God knew during the summer that the Undefeated was defeated. Did he speak out then? No! God knew almost one year ago that America by Heart was disappointing. Duh!!! As early as January of this year, God knew that Sarah Palin’s Alaska would not be renewed.  He knew then that her popularity was on the decline, but did we hear a peep out of him? He probably knows that her contract with Fox will not be renewed, so what will she do for money if she doesn’t run?  That’s not like God to leave her hanging!

God must have set-up Sarah Palin for failure when he sent Glen Rice to Alaska.

P;icture

When he told her to go to the Bar that night that she was dying for a little snort, does anyone think God shouldn’t be held accountable?

When her bus was decorated to be a trademark infringement did God think that He was being subtle?   When God inspired Sarah Palin to re-tell the story of Paul Revere’s historic ride, was he just having a difficult day? What was he thinking?

God must have known that to be seriously considered as a candidate for President of the U.S., that every candidate would be expected to demonstrate proficiency in the English language. It is a requirement, not optional. “Shacke-ly”, “refudiate,” “misunderestimate” and “squirmish” should have each been a red flag that Palin was not a person who would inspire confidence. The Lord said the “the meek shall inherit the earth,” but God knows the difference between “meek” and “ignorant.” Rabbi Akiba said God has a sense of humor, but “President Palin” isn’t funny. Surely God has told Sarah by now that she should not run, but Sarah must think he’ll change his mind. If God was an all-merciful God, he would have put Sarah and the entire country out of our misery long ago.

We have Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry who are all part of “God’s Chosen.” Maybe it’s not so special to be part of the “chosen” if this is the way God treats his favorites. Either God is deceiving us or he has spoken to Sarah Palin and told her she is not equipped to be the President. Either the Holy Spirit has lost his voice trying to send a message to Sarah, or the end is near.

Maybe the signs God has been sending have been messages to the rest of us. Maybe it was a sign from god when Governor Palin quit her job as Governor that she was irresponsible. Perhaps when Sarah said she had been a victim of “Blood Libel” it was a reminder from God that WE had been the victims of Sarah Palin. Maybe when she referred to our “North Korean Allies” it was God’s way of warning us that Sarah Palin was the enemy. When Sarah Palin declared that Ronald Reagan went to college in California, maybe it was God’s way of reminding us that Sarah should go back to school. When she said Trig was born in Anchorage, was it a reminder that God wanted Trig to return to his birth mother. When she wrote on her hand, could that have been a sign from God that we should write her off? When Glenn Beck was fired could that have been a sign that Palin is poison to anyone who associates with her? Palin said when she was tapped by John McCain that it was part of God’s plan. If it was God’s Plan, and McCain lost the election, then God must have been trying to send us a message that we each have to take responsibility for ensuring that our elected officials are the most educated, competent, and capable leaders in the country. Maybe God sent these signs and Sarah is not able to see them. It is our job to make sure that Republicans, Democrats, and Independents see the signs and vote accordingly.

The 1994 film Pulp Fiction won the Academy Award for the Best Original Screenplay, and was nominated for six other Academy Awards.

While the entire movie is described as an “ironic mix of humor and violence,” no scene in the movie is more memorable than Samuel Jackson’s recitation of Ezekiel 25:17, suggesting that he was doing God’s work when he murdered a helpless man.

Quentin Tarantino might now consider a sequel to Pulp Fiction. The sequel might be known as “Political Fiction.” The opening scene would be the nomination of Sarah Palin by John McCain. In an ironic mix of humor and violence the audience would watch as Sarah Palin destroyed the Republican Party even though they promoted her and put her in a position to do it. Even after John McCain lost the election of 2008, and in spite of the reports of mental illness of Sarah Palin, John McCain and the GOP continued to use her to raise money and energize the base.  Even though she demonstrated her willingness to compromise the goals of the GOP by endorsing Vaughn Ward, Christine O’Donnell, Star Parker, Sharon Angle, and Joe Miller, the GOP remained silent until the 2010 mid-term elections were over. November 5th, the day after the election results were final, Bush began the Republican attack against Sarah Palin, saying that she was not qualified to be the President.

The comment by Bush was ironic. Ninety-eight % of historians consider the presidency of Bush to have been a failure. Thus the day after Palin was no longer needed for raising more money, the GOP admitted that she was not qualified. Yet her supporters were not so quick to change allegiances. Now that the Republican party had publicized and promoted the image of “one of the great Americans of our time”  it was clear that they were now encouraging this great Amerian to stay home.

As we approach the Republican primary the Republican candidates are increasingly becoming critical of each other and less focused on President Obama. Palin, the undeclared, Undefeated candidate, has joined the attack. She has attacked the “mammoth amounts of cash” the Republicans have raised.  She has also taken aim at the leader in the GOP primary, Rick Perry. Palin said of him:

“There is a name for this.”

“It’s called corporate crony capitalism. It’s not the capitalism of free men and free markets, of innovation and hard work and ethics, of sacrifice and of risk. No, this is the capitalism of connections and government bailouts and handouts … and influence peddling and corporate welfare.”

Ezekiel 25:17 states:

“The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother’s keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

It is just possible that the GOP is just beginning to witness the “great vengeance and furious anger” of God for using Sarah Palin, in the way that the party and John McCain have used her.  If I were John McCain I would pass on a dinner invitation from Mr. Jackson, Mr. Travolta, and/or Mr. Tarantino.

If you are gay, there is hope for you.  Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann’s husband can help you find salvation.  All you need to do is pray away the gay.  While you are at it, change your hair color, your eye color, and your height.  As long as you are praying, get exactly what you want…and this assumes you don’t want to be gay???

We have known for some time that Sarah Palin and God are on speaking terms. She wears her best wings and her whitest suit when conversing with the Holy Spirit.  The mistake  I made was to think that when Palin communicated with these deities that she understood what they were trying to tell her. My mistake! I have to admit I feel rather foolish to think that Sarah Palin would understand something she was told by God, when I have repeatedly reported on the many other things she didn’t understand, from building dikes, squirmishes, North and South Korea, Africa, the location of Ronald Reagan’s college, the “countries” who gave us the Statute of Liberty as a warning,  and even her perception that people and dinosaurs co-existed.

Sarah Palin has given us plenty of clues to alert us to her confusion about what God thinks or wants. When she wore her polar bear boots to her first meeting, God had to explain to her that the polar bear was one of his proudest accomplishments and that she should stop destroying their habitat. When she met God for lunch he didn’t order a moose burger. God’s idea of a vacation was not riding on a bus with reporters following along, inhaling the bus fumes. When God wanted somebody to know something he would just say it to everyone. When God makes a mistake, He admits it.

If God had to travel he would do it in a hybrid car tying, to save the environment. If God gave us the Constitution, He wouldn’t want it disrespected by putting it on the side of a bus.

The following are some of the things God told Sarah, that she failed to understand.

1. God told her she needed to see a dentist. He didn’t mean to have an affair with one.

2. God told her he had a plan for her. He didn’t mean to go into politics, He meant that she should  stop killing animals and become a volunteer for the Defenders of Wildlife.

3. God told her that Trig needed his mother. He didn’t mean to send Bristol back to Alaska.

4. God told her that Willow needed to graduate from high school. He didn’t mean that Willow should leave school to be home schooled by a private tutor.

5. God told Sarah that Todd needed a wife. He didn’t mean that Sarah should divorce him so he could find someone else.

6. God told Sarah that she should be respectful of the President. He didn’t mean that she should become the President and respect herself more.

7. God told Sarah that Bristol should be more responsible. He didn’t mean that she should take a job dancing.

8. God told Sarah that her home was cold. He didn’t mean that she should move to Arizona.

9. God told Sarah that his son was a Jewish Rabbi. He didn’t mean that Sarah should disrespect Jews by wearing Stars of David.

10. God told Sarah that Osama bin Laden was an evil man and should be killed. He didn’t mean he wanted to see a picture of him after he was dead.

11. God told Sarah lying was a sin. He didn’t mean that she should become an example for people of the damage that could be done by lying.

12. God told Sarah she looked good in black. He didn’t mean she should wear black to a motorcycle rally.

13. God told Sarah as the tornado approached that she should “run”. He didn’t mean to “run” for President of the United States.

Looks like RAM might find herself in the unemployment line after mocking Bristol, Mitt Romney and even taking a jab at her own boss.

Today is May 22nd and if you are reading this you survived the rapture that was supposed to have been yesterday.  Whew! We made it!  Since we are still here we can laugh together.
