Dear Mr. Berger,

On August 7, 2012 I sent you a letter and affidavit for David Chaney’s signature. The affidavit was intended to give Mr. Chaney’s approval for Homeland Security to produce documents to me in response to a Freedom of Information Act Request #20121153-20121174. It was my understanding that Mr. Chaney had been questioned by Merek Schaefer, or another representative of the Secret Service, or Homeland Security, regarding his introduction to a prostitute by the name of Shailey Tripp. Based on the report of Ms. Tripp, that introduction occurred in a Bagel Shop in Alaska, and she was introduced to Mr. Chaney by her pimp, Todd Palin. I never received the courtesy of a response to that letter from you.

I have not received a decision from Homeland Security regarding this matter, and may be forced to file suit to recover these documents. If a suit is necessary, the government and I will each be forced to incur attorney fees that could easily be avoided. A simple release of this information by your client, Mr. Chaney, would avoid the necessity of such a suit. I understand Mr. Chaney is no longer with the Secret Service, but as a citizen of the United States, surely he too would like to minimize the unnecessary spending of money by the government.

Based upon the refusal of Mr. Chaney, Todd Palin, and Homeland Security to produce these documents, it is obvious that the meeting between Todd Palin,David Chaneu, and Shailey Tripp did occur. Otherwise I am sure that your client and Todd Palin would be anxious to clear their names, and expose Shailey Tripp as a liar. It has now been over 6 months since I requested the affidavit from Mr. Chaney, and an even longer time since I requested the documents from Homeland Security. Shailey Tripp’s book Boys Will Be Boys has been in print for over one year, and Todd Palin has never denied her allegations that he was her pimp.

Todd Palin has traveled around the country endorsing candidates for political office. He has appeared on Stars Earn Stripes suggesting that he is such a patriot that he agreed to appear on this show because of his charitable nature and desire to help the military. Unemployed and retired individuals continue to donate money to SarahPAC and their money is being used to pay for the travel expenses of Todd Palin to appear and campaign for people running for political office. If Todd Palin did work as a pimp, he may still be in a position to have undue influence on law enforcement and government officials.

David Chaney could confirm, or refute, the allegations of Shailey Tripp. It is not my desire to embarrass or humiliate David Chaney. It is my goal to reveal the truth. I am asking as a matter of common decency that David Chaney admit that Shailey Tripp is telling the truth regarding her relationship with Todd Palin. It might eliminate the necessity of obtaining the documents from Homeland Security. It is further my impression that because Mr. Chaney was allowed to resign, rather than be fired, that he is likely receiving retirement benefits from the United States government. It seems that the least he could do to prevent further expenditure by the taxpayers of the United States is to simply confirm or deny that he has any knowledge of the relationship of Todd Palin and Shailey Tripp.

If there is any honor in David Chaney, this is the least he could do.

Sincerely,

Malia Litman
