The Daily Beast features an article today regarding Georgette Mosbacher, the co-chair of the RNC’s Finance Committee. She is she unhappy with the GOP, and she is hitting them where it hurts; in fundraising. Not only is she finished giving of her own money, but others are following her lead. When Republicans turn on Republicans, they may be able to “shut that whole thing down.”
The question in 2016 may not be “Who will be the GOP candidate”, but instead, “IF there will be a GOP candidate.”

Speaking of “If there will be a Republican party,” I read yesterday that Glenn Beck is relaunching his ‘network’ as “a global Libertarian network.” http://www.politico.com/blogs/media/2013/01/glenn-beck-to-relaunch-the-blaze-as-global-libertarian-153680.html
I’m guessing that he’s not finding the TP an especially useful place to be, maybe now that voters identifying as TPers are down to 8%…whereas Libertarians regularly poll at 10%, a big boost for Loony Beck.

Beckophilia is a curable disease, although not easily curable. Let’s hope it can be eradicated worldwide by the end of this decade. Maybe the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation can help.

steve,
I have a lot of respect for the work of the Gates Foundation, so maybe they could find a cure!
