Homeland Security is still considering my FOIA appeal requesting documents that refer or relate to statements made by David Cheney and pertaining to his introduction to Shailey Tripp, a prostitute, by Todd Palin. The original request was made in June, and thus far no decision has been made regarding the production of those records. Today I have sent a supplemental appeal to Homeland Security, given Todd’s continuing involvement with Sarah Palin and expenses charged to the Sarah PAC for the travel of Todd Palin, as he appears at political events with Sarah. This story on Politico was specifically referenced. Here is the e-mail:
Dear Ms. Teal,
You have indicated my appeal referenced above is still being considered by the Department of Homeland Security. An article appeared recently in Politico that should also be considered as part of my appeal. Please consider this e-mail as a supplement to that appeal. As referenced in this article, the SarahPAC continues to raise thousands of dollars, with most of the money going to travel and speeches of Sarah Palin and Todd Palin. Attached are just a few recent pictures of Todd at events where he accompanied Sarah to support a candidate for political office.
Specifically the SarahPAC raised more than $843,500.00, with the bulk of donors contributing less than $200.00. There is a compelling need for the public to know the truth about Todd Palin, and any current or previous money he made from prostitution services, and which would necessarily be money available to Sarah Palin. Before one more person writes another check to the SarahPAC, they should know that they are donating money to pay for travel expenses of Todd Palin who regularly travels with Sarah, and who may have been involved, or may still be involved with a prostitution ring. Donors need to know about any statements given to Homeland Security by David Cheney about Todd Palin’s introduction of him to his prostitute. Please give my FOIA request your most serious consideration.
Thank you, Malia Litman

Thanks for sticking with this, Malia. Something huge is going on behind the scenes. I sure wish I knew what. Human trafficking is a scourge and so is using prostitutes to get government contracts. Pres. Obama recently signed an executive order strengthening federal contracts to ensure that the supply chains used by the Federal Government are not tainted by trafficking or modern-day slavery.

I wonder who all in the government knows about Todd’s and the vile Greg West’s involvement with trafficking/pimping in connection with federal contracts. I would love for this to become public. Most people have NO idea about this scourge or the corruption in government and business. j
I highly recommend the book “Into the Buzzsaw.” It contains eye-opening news stories that were manipulated and/or suppressed by the powers that be. Scary.
Thanks again. You’re awesome.

red white and blue,
Thank you for your support and encouragement! I know the chances of getting these documents is probably pretty small, but I am encouraged that they have “reported” to me that they are “still working” on my request. If there were no documents, which they have never admitted that they exist, then I would expect that they would simply say that none exist, and there is nothing to produce The fact that they are still considering the request is significant to me and might justify a suit if they don’t produce them. Homeland Security promised a report back to the Senate Subcommittee on the “Culture of Corruption” in the Sec. Service, and that was supposed to be delivered by early Aug., and they still haven’t gotten that report.

Malia, I cannot let go the prostitution case in Maine referencing the way the authorities handled the situation. There should be some consistency with the way Alaska handled the same type of situation..if I remember right the FBI was involved or maybe that was BS.
Here’s the phrase: “According to Kennebunk police, authorities were tipped off in September 2011 to illicit activity at the studio. A subsequent investigation, with help from Maine’s State Police and the Drug Enforcement Agency, led to the execution of search warrants on February 14.”
Also both the alleged prostitute and madam: “Both of the accused pleaded not guilty this month to prostitution-related charges: 106 against Wright and 59 counts against Strong.”

I do believe it is very important to get this FOIA information. There are too many I don’t knows floating around giving Todd the benefit of the doubt.
I don’t know if there were any drugs involved and I do think Shailey plead guilty so no trial. I hope others pick up on this Maine case.

avahome,
I agree, and its just outrageous to me that Todd’s interest in his privacy or David Cheney’s interest in keeping his indiscretions private might superced the public’s need to know! Thus we would be protecting criminals, instead of protecting the women who they used. It’s ok to arrest a woman for prostitution, but her pimp we not only don’t arrest, but protect his privacy! Simply outrageous!

Malia, is there any way the people can request documentation to back up the SarahPAC mailing expenses? I’m surprised IRS isn’t crawling all over them. It’s such an “in your face” attack on campaign and tax law.

aj,
I’m not aware of how to get those records, but the IRS is entitled to ask for them.
