“Canonization” is the process of making a Catholic person into a saint. Robert Zimmerman Jr., the brother of George Zimmerman,
along with the parents of George have become quite vocal about the saintly character of George. Zimmerman’s parents have described George as a “longtime altar boy, who donated blood, mentored black children, and collected clothes for the homeless.”
His parents must have missed the report that George killed an unarmed teenager walking home after getting Skittles for his brother, the report that George lied to the Judge, molested his cousin, and made racist remarks to his fellow employee.
Unlike his brother George (the saintly one), Robert has indicated his propensity for revenge by declaring his commitment to having the attorney for the Martin family disbarred. He has indicated that he will make the disbarment of the Martin’s attorney his “life’s work.”Defense attorney for George, Mark O’Mara, said he cringed when he saw a relative of his client acting out on the web, and said the new media tour was launched without George Zimmerman’s knowledge. His message to Robert Jr: “Be careful with my case.”

This has been a “trial by media.” I wish the real trial would begin so that Zimmerman can get what he deserves – many years in prison. Defendants should not be allowed to have this kind of media circus to distort the facts of a criminal case.

Maybe the prosecution should use his brother’s threats of revenge to paint George Zimmerman as the same time of person brought up in a family that does not take responsibility for their actions.

We know George was a fuck up who couldn’t get his act together and tried to play the tough guy. His brother knows it, too. They were probably all waiting for him to do something stupid (although probably not THIS stupid).
Now, his brother wants his 15 minutes and “Good Day LA” apparently is willing to give it to him.
I mean, REALLY. His life work will be to get the Martin’s attorney disbarred? REALLY?

The Zimmerman family doesn’t want the public to know that they have been estranged from George up until the time of the shooting and hadn’t spoken to him in almost five years. This includes his brother, Robert, the very one who’s trying to canonize him. He talks about how they had to leave their homes, etc. but they all chose to do that immediately after the shooting and long before the media latched onto this case. They have played up death threats that are probably non-existent yet here’s Robert on TV trying to bring life back to the case when it’s been in the background for the past few months due to things moving behind the scenes but not in public view. I think RZ,Jr. is looking for a job in the media for himself with all these frequent appearances on TV. Why else would he be trying to drum up publicity at this point rather than being happy that nobody is actually speaking about the case, thus allowing the family to live in relative obscurity?!

I don’t expect anything else from a family which has accepted George Zimmerman’s numerous, contradictory lies unquestioningly. After all, this is the family whose father got on TV and recounted the lies about his son beaten nearly to death by the real victim. That narrative has been discredited by the forensic evidence. Both of Zimmerman’s parents are on record as having begged for donations for living expenses as the result of the position their son has placed them in with his reckless, Rambo-type actions that finally resulted in the death of an innocent teenager. So, Robert Jr’s. words fit into a pattern of enabling the criminality of their son and brother, a pattern that has been long-standing with the expunging of George’s violent and confrontational actions toward others. That expunging has been a costly mistake, because it enabled an unstable individual to acquire the gun he used to murder a kid he started a confrontation with. I firmly believe that sooner or later, he would have done something else just as heinous as this crime. He was a ticking time bomb waiting to explode.
