In case you thought Sarah Palin or Bristol Palin were about to fade into obscurity, there has been a new story to capture headlines. The story is that Bristol Palin’s performance on Dancing With The Stars was so poor that somebody has threatened her and the show with the dissemination of Anthrax if Bristol isn’t voted off the show. The powder received wasn’t really anthrax, but the headlines are real. It’s like threatening a law suit, the threat is real, but the law suit is not. The Palins have played the part of “victims” even when others have been shot and killed, and nothing was said or discussed about them, as in Sarah’s blood libel comment. Now if Bristol is voted off the show, she can claim she has been victimized and was voted off the show because of the anthrax threat. Because the powder sent wasn’t real anthrax, and because it is unclear who or why such a foolish threat was made, there is every reason to assume the “threat” came from a Palin supporter, who wanted to “help” the Palins stay in the headlines, and provide an alternate explanation for why Bristol was voted off the show, rather than pathetic performances.
Anthrax is caused by a fatal bacteria. Many people have guns, so shooting a television seems like a predictable response to watching Bristol dance on t.v.. However most people don’t have access to Anthrax, and those who do typically have bigger plans for the lethal powder than taking out a contestant on Dancing With the Stars. Bristol said she was a “Red-neck woman” so the threat of Anthrax, with is usually associated with cows, might be part of the image she intentionally conveys.

My first thought when I heard this – it was done ALSO when Bristol was on her first appearance of DWTS. I wouldn’t be one bit surprised that Sarah, Bristol OR one of their clan sent it. Attention gett ing hillbillies is all they are! Plus, would expect to see Bristol go on Tuesday. She never should have been on the show in the first place due to having absolutely zero talent. Then the ‘real’ stars can get on with their competition…there are some very outstanding dancers on the show this year.

A similar threat was reported in 2010. My feelings are this is a hoax and done by the Palins’ themselves to attract attention.

Definitely a publicity stunt by the Palins, the studio, or a misguided fan. I wonder if it was mailed from RI.

Maybe Sarah will hire the ex Secret Service agent that Todd and Shailey Tripp knows intimately to watch and protect Bristol while she performs at DWTS like in the movie Body Guard?
Who knows, maybe Bristol will write, direct and star in the sequel “Body Guard 2 The Story of Bristol Palin”?

Willow,
You may be on to something here! Just make sure the screen writers remember to make the last scene depicting the failure of Chaney to pay the agreed-upon price.

The Paylumps and their death threats–remember how poor, poor Pigstool, alone in the Alaska woods (except for the Secret Service men guarding the home and the motel in plain sight), getting death threats on the telephone? Or Pigstool and Wallow receiving threats of gang rape (so serious they were never reported)? Yeah, that family loves to play the victim.

You can credit Vote for the Worst for generating thousands of votes and keeping The Chin on DWTS, just as they did in 2010. It’s sad that the other dancers/pros are getting screwed by bogus votes. Of course, Bri$dull is delusional enough to believe the votes are coming from her ‘fan base.’
Gag me.

Alaska Cod Piece,
You are right, and I think the show knows that it is hurting the integrity of the show to have politics enter the realm of reality tv.
