Comments on: Romney Says He’s Wrong, Only Because He Got Caught

I suspect that Mitt Romney has been telling lots of closed door meetings with his money providers about his attitude to the “47%” as he calls them. His statement on Fox News is shallow and totally insincere. This is what he believes; he just got caught saying it.

Of course there’s some disagreement with his running mate. Paul Ryan is whining about the “60%” who are “takers” and not “makers” and are, therefore, not real Americans.

Now is the difference between them “13%” or are we supposed to add the “47%” and the “60%” to get the total of American citizens and voters whom they despise? That would make a whopping 107% who have always lived and worked here who are worthless human beings. I hope that none of them vote for the GOP this November. We all know now what they think of us.

There’s an attitude in all of this lying and it should be offending all of us. The basic premise is that “you people” are dumb, I can say whatever I want, and you will believe it. It is sin of pride and the sense of power or authority over others that drives this behavior. It is the idea of playing God, telling people what to believe, removing free will. The whole scenario reminds me of the Biblical story of the golden idol. His followers worship wealth and think they will achieve wealth if by following him.

DailyKos and ThinkProgress had reported 27 “myths” in 38 minutes. That’s nearly a lie a minute. How could anyone respond to that many “myths”. And WHY does the media continue to dance around the verbiage. Romney isn’t telling myths. Those are flat out LIES. Why won’t the general media call them what they are?

I just update the post with another video I just found that is Romney’s initial “explanation” of the comment, which just affirms that he believes what he said, not that he was wrong! It’s just amazing that he said what he did AFTER the initial comment was made public!

That is a great analysis of what happened. As I waS watching the debate with my husband I said several times, “That’s not true” or “that’s not what he said before” but now I better understand that was intentional. I’ll post a link to the article shortly. Thanks!
