Bristol wasn’t devoting herself to caring for her son last night.  She wasn’t in church.  She wasn’t planning a wedding.  She wasn’t studying for her final exams in college.  She wasn’t preparing for her next day at the dermatologist’s office.  She wasn’t bull riding in a bar.  She wasn’t on the campaign trail.  She wasn’t shoveling snow in Alaska.  She wasn’t drinking wine coolers on a camping trip.    If she had been doing any of those things, you probably wouldn’t have seen her.  The all-star season of Dancing With the Stars made its debut last night.   Bristol was on that show, along with her mother the Half-Term Ex-Governor, who had nobody to campaign for.  Papa Pimp was also there, probably interviewing for new employees.

Shoot!  I missed it.  Darn the luck!  I was watching the Adrian Beltre of the Texas Rangers defeat the A’s with his home run, and RBI in the bottom of the 9th.

Evidently, I wasn’t alone.  Although Bristol is back on Dancing with the Stars, the only one who really cared was her mother in the audience.  In an interview Bristol explained how she had nothing to lose, and no matter what it will be a “blessing.”   In another interview she explained she was just here to dance, and “become a better person.”   In another interview she explained that she was coming back to try to improve and perform “better”.

Evidently Bristol’s secret to performing better, to making herself a better person, and to realizing the blessing of being on national television again is to “shake my butt” with a smile on her face.

I had a smile on my face because I missed Bristol shaking her butt last night.
