Michael Steele thinks it was a mistake to fail to invite Sarah Palin to the Republican Convention. Since Steele is no longer the Chairman of the Republican Party, he might have missed the embarrassing moments that have become new entries in history books across the country. He might not realize that the name “Sarah Palin” has become synonymous with “Paul Revere.” Maybe he was partying with Todd Palin the night Stephen Colbert reenacted Palin’s version of that famous ride of Paul Revere.
Yet it was still hard to understand how or why Steele thought the Republican Party should have invited Palin to speak. Then I remembered that Michael Steele was the one embarrassed by his request for reimbursement for his visit to the Voyeur in West Hollywood. You remember that was the “bondage-themed nightclub’ that featured topless women dancers imitating lesbian sex, that was visited by Steele and friends, and then they had the nerve to ask that their night of wild partying be paid by the Republican Committee. Now his remarks all make sense. He said:
‘I think she brings a level of energy and excitement that’s going to be important going forward into the general campaign.’
Is there any doubt about why Steele misses Palin?

The gop headhunters went after micheal steele because of his selection of Tampa for the 2012 convention. Poor guy looks like they shrunk his head. Probably said he missed palin because it would take the heat off of him.

The question should be why do superficial liberals ignore democrats’ lies?
Not these trivial pieces of crap things you post about people who no one thinks about but fawners and hateful liberals.

The question is, why are you compelled to keep reading Malia’s posts and commenting? It’s must be some kind of sickness. I suggest a good psychiatrist.

Maybe you should enlighten us about these democrats’ lies, Blake. Some people may not know what lies you are referencing.

Cracklin Charlie,
you assume too much! You assume Blake knows what lies he/she is talking about.

Michael Steele has always been a joke. He’s completely clueless and all he has left in his sorry ass career is going on MSNBC to be humiliated by Chris Matthews.
He was damn stupid to believe those guys were his friends in the first place. They were using him. He reminds me of a timid middle-schooler who went shoplifting with the “cool guys”, got caught, ratted them out, and is now bewildered why they don’t like him anymore.
He’s running after the GOP whining “Guys, wait for me…guys!”

Barbara,
What amazes me is that any member of a minority would think that the GOP was ‘their’ party. I looked at the crowd last night, and didn’t see a single Black, hispanic, Asian, indian, or other race. it was amazing!

I’m rejoicing that Donald Trump and his “big surprise” firing of an Obama look-a-like were apparently dis-invited.
Glad to see there might be SOME standards left for the RNC, although I am not ruling out that Mittens might have thought The Donald would try to upstage him.

miss Sunshine,
i hadn’t heard that was the ‘big surprise” and i’m shocked they would even consider this! The Palin look alike would be much more popular!

May be he missed his “appointment” and prepaid Todd for “services” and now he wants the product “Sarah” or his money back…good luck with either!

Here are the three reasons Michael Steele thinks Palin should have been invited because:
1.There’s probably considerable TP discontent the GOP are trying to keep the lid on. As former Queen of the TP, she might have been able to tamp down the whining.
2. The sorry set of GOP/TP talking heads at the convention mostly lack the fire-and-brimstone she brought to the 2008 race. None of the speakers in Tampa can hold a candle to her on divisiveness and race-baiting.
3. Palin is “hotter” than any of the other speakers in Tampa and since Repugs require that of their female speakers, perhaps Steele is simply indicating that Ann did not measure up.

Samtt,
Hot, my ass. She looks like Giuliani in drag.

The fashion challenged Palin would have been quite a spectacle standing next to Ann Romney and Dr. Rice, two women who know how to look professional when addressing voters.

Malia why would you inject Glen Rice into this story, and put his photo next to hers? He has nothing to do with this story. He only had a one night stand with her, and I am sure he would not like to be linked to her for eternity.

Sam,
i’m sure Rice is embarrassed today, but it is so amazing that palin is such a biggot and yet she wanted to have a one-night stand with Glen!
