“Phil Davison, who is currently unemployed, did not win the race. Phil Davison is 39 years old and makes $260 per month with his part-time council position. He lost his last job as a bailiff and is currently looking for work.
Davison told POLITICO Thursday afternoon he was surprised by the blaze of attention his fiery speech generated and said he was bombarded with calls from across the country after the video ricocheted across the Internet.
“It’s shocking. I don’t know what to say. I’m speechless,” said Davison. “I was emotional last night. I’m truly passionate about what I believe in.”

In an interview with talkingpointsmemo.com admitted that he did not even know what YouTube was:

“I went home and had a ham sandwich and went to bed and thought that was the end of it,” Davison said when reached at home this afternoon. “A friend called, and well, I’m not very good with electronics, is there a YouTube? It was on some kind of electronic server.”

Ah yes, ham sandwich’s will cool down that fiery head of yours, right Phil? And he’s not good with electronics but he wants to be the county treasurer, he has a perfectly good abacus, he’d like you to know. “COMPUTERS?!” Phil screamed, “WE DON”T NEED NO STINKIN” COMPUTERS!”
