Trayvon Martin… Chavis Carter… the Wilsons in Crystal Springs – the news this year takes me back to the horrors of the 1950′s and 60′s. The only positive thing can be said is that all the racist vileness that went into the closet in the intervening decades is coming into the open once again, which at least makes it clearer to identify, if not to deal with.
