Truth that
I’m most concerned for the citizens of this country who still fail to judge politicians fairly. Democrats get away with all their lies and nasty games, and republicans can’t say ANYTHING without certain people read so much into it that it loses all meaning. One certainly can’t call one party smarter than the other. It is telling that you find happier people on the right, in my experience. I see more jealous people on the left.
Sad. Lefties need to grow up and act their ages.

As every con artist and grifter worth their salt, they KNOW when they are lying as to quote someone else, whose name I cannot remember:
” In order to lie, you must know what the truth.”
Regarding not labeling one party stupid, and/or the other smart, out of a sense of fairness I always thought that was true even tho what so many republicans said did not make since to me.
However, the GOP has fallen–been taken over— in the last decade by people who are not lacking in intelligence so much as simply lacking in ethics, morality, an innate sense of fairness and are so taken with greed and a need to somehow shore up some very deep and primal insecurities that their politics are no longer “differences of honest opinion” but have become “anything goes” i.e. “it’s only business.
However, since I was in my 20′s, a very very long time ago, I have realized that the phrase “it’s only business” —-which I never understood anyway—is somehow supposed to mean that in “business” it is ok to lie, cheat, misrepresent, steal, intimidate, manipulate etc and that somehow also, these people think that that is an acceptable and good way to behave.
I know from first hand experiences that ALL people, democrats included behave in despicable ways, BUT IN THE PAST, WHEN CAUGHT RED HANDED, THESE PEOPLE, WHILE NOT ADMITTING ANY FAULT OR RESPONSIBILITY, AT LEAST REFRAINED FROM DOUBLING DOWN AND PROCLAIMING THAT THEY NOT ONLY DID NOTHING WRONG, BUT THAT THEY WERE PROUD OF THEMSELVES.
At this time, for this period of history, I am sorry to say that in ALL FAIRNESS, the republican party is composed of RACIST, BIGOTS, THIEVES, CHARLATANS, GRIFTERS AND CHAUVINIST.
I am not happy to be making this statement and I am sure there are good people in the republican party, but they are no longer in the majority..

Palin deserves the criticism she gets and you should develop higher standards for who is in office. If you’re so dead keen on Palin and the Joe Six-Packs she represents, then head for your local bar, but keep her and her low-brow TPers out of Congress. It’s no accident that public approval of Congress is at an all-time low. Palin and YOU helped put those bozos in office.

Bill Mahr does not lie to himself and therefore he does not lie to others.
You may object to his style —the man does not lay his cards on the table, he slaps them onto the table—-but if you don’t speak of certain issues in a forceful way, people, who don’t want to hear what you are saying, turn dismissive.
He has to be loud, he has sometimes to be rude because HE IS TELLING PEOPLE WHAT THEY NEED TO HEAR, NOT WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR.
Peoplel, like Palin know that you get more flies with honey than with vinegar and she has made an art out of being sweet and sugary AND TELLING PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR in order to get their support.
Bill Mahr doesn’t give a rat’s ass if he has your support. He ( and I agree with him and feel the same way) is just sick and tired of listening to all the denial and falsehoods and fairy tales that all cultures shove down our throats.
We spend our lives “going along to get along”, to ” live in peace and harmony with each other” and in the name of “being a nice and kind person” we swallow all the c r a p that other people, who do NOT have our best interest at heart throw at us.
I believe in love, and peace and harmony etc but I also know that that is an ideal which will never exist until we all simultaneously “reach enlightment of the Buddha” or whatever spiritual truths you hold to be true and in the meantime, some of us, like Mahr and myself and many others, have come to the point that it is time to speak up—call a spade a shovel—and balance out the passive aggressive attitude that way too many people on this planet hold and think themselves somehow above the fray.
And if Bill Mahr has to be loud, and rude and crude and abrasive and aggressive to do that then I am going to applaud him, support him and defend his right to say what he thinks to anybody who wants to listen and if they don’t like what he says, THEN ARGUE WITH HIM AND SUPPORT YOUR POSITION AND DEBATE THE ISSUE BUT DO NOT ATTACK THE MAN. (OR WOMAN.)

The same person wrote all these comments. Their posts are full of hatred, hypocrisy and anger. Whoever is writing them is really not very bright or well read and can’t seem to separate fact from fiction. She/he uses the same talking points/phrases over and over and over again like an idiot savant.
I imagine this person drooling and banging his/her head against the wall.
Why do they come here and write the same nonsense over and over. It accomplishes nothing. It’s just a way for this person to release all of her irrational anger. At first the posts were interesting, but now they look like the ratings of a very disturbed out of control person.
I would never go to conservative blogs and rant and rave. What for? There is no point to it. The only purpose would be as an outlet for my frustration and frankly it would just rile me up more. I’m not a masochist but this poster appears to be. If I was stalking the same conservative blogs 24/7 and blasting people over and over again,I would hope family and friends would confront me and tell me to get help. This

I too am amazed at the number of people who come to the blog to say hateful things. I have one person who regularly sends me hateful comments…about everything…and I trash that persons comments, and they keep sending them. That person write the comments knowing that I will be the only person who sees them, but they keep writing!

Not only do I think she/he isn’t too swift, but I really believe this person is seriously mentally ill. Im not a psychiatrist butcuts pretty obvious. Maybe it’s better to not post any of their comments.
I really truly do hope this person gets help. She/he appears very unhappy, obsessive and angry. And writing nonstop and telling people off isn’t going to help her. In a way, it’s sad.

If you would care to discuss people with hate inside look at Sarah Palin with her gun sites placed on maps. Look at what Sarah Palin caused with her hatred, a child’s death, the terrible wounding of Congresswoman Giffords.

I enjoy Mahr’s brand of humour but sometimes he is too vulgar for my taste. Despite his crude choice of the F word, He was spot on about Bristol Palin insinuated she was raped so she continued to F and F for years until a baby fell out. He can be crude and rude. I hope any brother or father would be angry at the teen, not Maher, for selling and telling her private business. Classic case one side can tell, another echoes and he is demonized a pervert and rage he is inappropriate.

I generally think he goes a little too far too, and would much rather go to Comedy Central. However there is something therapeutic in listening to maher when I get really mad or upset. After all this time, and all the things we know about Palin, I just couldn’t believe anyone would write a story like that. I am still hopeful it was just a poor attempt at satire.

He also mentions SP in relation to Ryan. Maher can be crude at times, but I am very thankful for our comedians who speak truth to power in a far more frank and direct way than the “news”.
(Jon Stewart’s “The Daily Show” was one of the ways I could stand the awful W. Bush years.)

These “palinbot” or similar type people are like drug dealer/users..
They know what they are doing is wrong but they FEEL (not think, FEEL)
that if they can get others to agree with them, then somehow that validates what they are doing.
They use any means to convince the other person(s)–being dishonest, misrepresenting facts, putting spins on the truth etc—represent their desperation.
But then, they see the affirmation coming back from the person they just duped into agreeing with them, and “FEEL” ( not think, FEEL) themselves validated and now they are not alone, they are a group of 2.
The original person then is able to FEEL that maybe they really are right after all and what they are doing IS ok, it IS appropriate, it IS right.
As the numbers increase, the feed back loop grows bigger and stronger and sooner or later, VOILA ! The Republican party of today.

Palin aptly defines the word charlatan – “a person practicing quackery or some similar confidence trick in order to obtain money, fame or other advantages via some form of pretense or deception.” or “a person who pretends or claims to have more knowledge or skill than he or she possesses”.
It was bad enough trying to avoid the sight and sound of one Palin and now that her star pupil Bristol has been unleashed, I have to work doubly hard at living in a Palin free environment. Sheesh!

I’m most concerned for the citizens of this country who get put in gun crosshairs and become maimed and die, who lose their jobs because they refuse to do illegal actions on behalf of a governor who did not hold up her end of a position she was ELECTED to. Death and dread follow palin like stink from rotting carcasses. Alaska has its own knowledge that hasn’t come to light yet because of fear of palin’s well known petty revenge and retaliations. Her Karma hasn’t really started yet. She will want to hide in the depths of somewhere before its all over. A lot of people want it to be in the depths of hell. Right, Left, who gives a rats ass. She’s ruined public political discourse in this country. Only stupid people don’t get it.
Maher is no more biased than anyone else. He’s just a public figure so we hear about it. He’s no more biased than sarah palin herself who made the comment here in our small populated Alaska regarding Hilary Clinton that “Sambo beat the bitch”. Yeah, THAT wasn’t racist or biased was it! sarah palin deserves the hate that is coming/will come to her. She is nothing if not a hateful person. You get what you put out.
