Life in prison and probably sent to the pedophile island in washington state? I think is where its at? As far as his family. His wife should be charged, convicted, sentenced to house arrest, monitored and disgraced additionally. No excuse, NO mercy.

Pedophiles, like Sandusky, use the excuse that “He never, never dreamed that anything he was accused of doing would have this type of impact on….” as a way to attempt in his mind to justify what he did without actually admitting that he did what he did.

As a relative of a convicted pedophile who did some of the same things that Sandusky did, I have heard it all. The pedo only thinks with the “little head” not the big. They don’t think that this might actually hurt someone else or that “it seemed like a good idea at the time”. Usually it’s his family that suffers the most.

The biggest injustice of it all is that when it comes time for sentencing is that a person of stature within the community and fame will probably be given a five year term suspended with the promise of not to do it again.

With this I suppose all records, etc…….poof….kids names are gone as well as donors’ names.

A man like him won’t be cured. He needs to be contained and publicly shamed. Hopefully his punishment will give some comfort to his many victims. The same with the punishment of Penn State. Can you imagine what some of those boys and young men felt every time Penn State Football was in the news?

He will die in prison (I mean from old age or some illness, not from the death penalty or the wrath of other inmates, both of which I am strongly against). That, and the fact he won’t be hurting any other kids, is the most we can ask for.

It’s quite possible his wife will be charged with something before all this is over. There’s a lot of guilt to go around.

The mental illness of sandusky and lack of remorse? Not sure how much mental healthcare or counseling he will receive while spending the rest of his life in prison, its kinda money wasted unless he is buying and it is required. But I find it strange that his wife did not get charged. How could a woman possibly live in the same house with the same man for 41 yrs and not detect, witness or observe anything at all? I dont care if she is from a generation of head in sand type. Look the other way type. The woman could not be so lame as to not question anything at all? And then his own adopted son coming out and forward? What is this woman thinking?

I’m sure he doesn’t have remorse. He most likely believes he’s done nothing wrong and those kids were asking for it.

As Malia points out, his only remorse is that he hurt Penn State Football. It’s abhorrent.
