If Mitt Romney said he was looking for a short person to nominate for his Vice President we would laugh. It seems he hasn’t learned that women will carry the 2012 election, and they will vote based on the issues, rather than the gender, height, color, religion, or favorite ice cream of the candidates. While Romney recognizes he has a low approval rating with female voters, it seems that the mistakes of McCain are being re-lived by Mitt Romney. Ann Romney has recently said Romney is considering a woman. Romney marched with Kelly Ayotte in a 4th of July parade.
Some experts say Romney won’t pick a woman to avoid the “Sarah Palin” problem. Those “experts” and Romney still don’t get it! Within 10 days of the nomination in the 2008 election, Matt Damon made a video and posted it on you tube and said that the pick of Sarah Palin was made for political purposes. He described the selection as a really bad Disney movie.
Over 12 Million people have watched that video, but it appears Romney isn’t one of them. In the last three years the headlines didn’t read that a woman screwed up; it was Sarah Palin who said that we should build dikes to solve the Gulf Oil Spill, that she was the victim of a Blood Libel in Arizona, that we needed to help our North Korean allies, that Paul Revere was warning the British.
Romney hasn’t learned that women want him to pick the most qualified candidate. Even if he doesn’t read “all of them” you’d think he’d seen some of these pictures:

Please Mitt, select Bachmann. We need more people creating sound bites for Leno, Letterman, Stewart, and the rest. And Marcus would provide great comedic moments as well. Like Mel Brooks said in The Producers, “If you want to succeed…..keep it gay.”

If Matt Damon had known of Palin’s fundie religious beliefs (esp. about the “end times” being just around the corner) he would have been twice as fearful of a Palin with the nuclear codes. Not a doubt in my mind that a slight provocation would have had her pressing the button, all the while stating that it’s “God’s will”.

I’m sure she’s been aware of that for years. Her problem lies with bristle’s reality show failure and that folks know about tawd’s indiscretions. You know it’s a reflection of her lousy parenting and what a crappy wife she is. The fact that her popularity even amongst the rubes has plummeted to an all time low doesn’t help. This time next year she’ll be nothing more than huffington post national enquirer fodder.

Sarah Palins hair in the Globe shot is her absolute worst wig on wig. And her shoes? OMG.

that dumb girl is so brainwashed by religion and power and politics she can’t see straight…and then her hatred for herself is not good…it effects those kids around her…not just her…sounds to me like that girl needs to be deprogrammed…but then again…you can’t fix stupid…and I read the comments the crimes committed might be catching up to her now…that is terrible to “plan to burn houses/churches” down…may be that “prayer” she got from that “former” witch doctor was not indeed a prayer but a curse?

What matters is, he must be young, charismatic, crowdpleasing, and it helps if he’s non-white because a country’s gotta break it’s history of racism. Oh, and race baiting is definitely a must. Amie, I am probably a lot older than you and I have to say that to me the republicans are very disappointing. It is no longer the party it use to be. I am ashamed of them.
As far as experience goes, not sure you can go there, look at the 2008 VP choice. If you think that was a good choice, you are on the wrong blog and you should do your homework about Palin.

As hard as it was to get through at the time, Amie, my Mom’s death (a TRUE Christian woman) 10 weeks before Palin came on the scene was an absolute blessing looking back on it. So thankful she didn’t live to see it as she would have been absolutely MORTIFIED. Does that make us even?

Isn’t it great Amie, that people don’t all think alike! My father was a die hard Republican but he didn’t believe the Church ruled the roost at our house…and he also believed we were being taught to be communists in high school. I find nothing wrong with being taught “critical thinking” and not following the herd that is jumping off the cliff together because of who they were following. Knowledge is Power and the only person you can control is yourself.
