It was Sandra Fluke, not Bristol Palin, who was called a “slut.”  It was Rush Limbaugh who called Ms. Fluke that disparaging name, not President Obama.  It was President Obama who called Ms. Fluke to express his outrage, not Rush Limbaugh.  It is Sarah Palin who has accused President Obama of “palling around with terrorists”.  It is Sarah Palin who was not vetted that has now suggested that the President of the United States of the last three years should  be vetted.  It is Bristol Palin who had a child out of wedlock, not Ms. Fluke.  It is Bristol Palin whose “idea” of Dancing with the Stars was to appear on national television in these poses and in these clothes,

and here is the pose and clothes of Sandra Fluke.

Bristol Palin has a blog. The blog was opened on March 15th. The blog made headline news due to her post of March 18th which was an

“Open Letter” to the President, taunting him for not calling her to console her about being disparaged by comedians. There are so many things offensive about this, it’s hard to know where to begin.

1. Bristol posted a video of disparaging remarks made by various comedians and commentators about Bristol and her mother. Not to say that any of the remarks were appropriate, but by posting this video, Bristol is bringing more publicity to the comments, that she is condemning. The title of the video could be “Sarah Palin, the Victim.”

2. Bristol’s blog has a link to the “patheos spirituality store” which means Bristol is making money off of the promotion of spirituality. Amen!

3. After watching the video link that contains a montage of comments disparaging Sarah Palin and her family, Bristol asks for money for her new PAC called the “She PAC”. Thus not only does the blog open with an advertisement, but Bristol evidently has a PAC now to encourage “conservative women” to give her money. It is not clear from the blog or the links why people should give her money or what she plans to use it for.

4. The first post on the blog was given the title “Game Change.” Bristol uses this first post to describe “how terrible our family was treated by the political staffers who were supposed to be helping us.” In fact those “political staffers” were Republicans whose goal was to promote Sarah Palin.  Steve Schmidt and Nicole Wallace, the two most involved people on the McCain staff have defended the movie as being “accurate.”

5. The third post describes Bristol’s excitement at the premier of Dancing with the Stars. That would surely be consistent with asking for donations to her PAC.

6. It is the second post, the Open Letter to the President that is particularly egregious.  Bristol Palin’s fame and fortune were not derived from her educational excellence, or her accomplishments serving as an elected official. The dermatology assistant who is famous for drinking and getting pregnant, has the temerity to mock the President for attempting to express his concern for a witness who did nothing other than give sworn testimony before a congressional committee, and for that she was called a “slut.” Ms. Fluke didn’t write a book about getting drunk on wine coolers and having sex in a tent with a young man who later posed naked for Playgirl magazine.

It was President Obama who came to Bristol’s defense during the campaign, when he said that family were “off limits.” He went even further to say that “children were especially off limits.” Thus, the President has already come to Bristol’s defense. If Rush Limbaugh had called Bristol a “slut” we could imagine what her own mother would have said.  When Rush made disparaging comments about special needs kids, Palin defended him.   When commenting on Rush Limbaugh’s use of the word “retard” Palin said that was O.K. because it was used in the satirical sense.

Over a year ago I posed an open letter to Todd Palin asking if he had been hanging out with hookers lately.  Todd never answered my question.  Todd doesn’t have a blog, so maybe he didn’t know how to answer.  Bristol does, so she has an easy way to answer.   Today I pose some questions to Bristol that she could answer on her blog:

“Hey Bristol, who suggested that you name your son “Tripp?”

“Hey Bristol, did Levi ever mention to you that he saw your Dad at Shailey Tripp’s place of business?”

“Hey Bristol, did you know your mom defended Herman Cain for cheating on his wife for 13 years by saying “Boys will be Boys?”
