j,
Sorry about the bed, but given the feelings engendered by Rush Limbaugh, I felt something dramatic was in order.

Hammer,
I hope you think that’s funny, and only in the context of streaking, and not speaking like rush limbaugh did .

Hi Malia,
Thought you would interested in the response I received from the AFN. My initial email to AFN is on the bottom, then their response and my reply.
Mr. Fredrickson,
While choice is certainly a wonderful goal, I am having a hard time understanding why program choices that call women “sluts” and “prostitutes” and state that women who receive health services should provide video of their sexual encounters are in the best interests of our military, especially when serving in countries where women can be stoned to death by males who believe they may be sluts. I can think of many other choices that would also be ‘popular’ and be just as degrading to females.
As a service to the Department of Defense, are you saying tax dollars pay for this show to be aired to the military? Please let me know if this is the case.
Sincerely,
XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

As a service of the Department of Defense, AFN does not advertise on Mr Limbaugh’s program, offer products for sale, or sponsor any of the programs we relay to our audience.
The American Forces Network does not censor content and we do not seek to protect our overseas Department of Defense audience from hearing views with which they may disagree. Our mission is to offer program choices, which includes both the one-hour versions and three-hour version of various popular political talk shows.

Thanks for your support of the troops and for your interest in AFN.

To Whom It May Concern,
While I normally wouldn’t tell a company where to advertise, I have been so repulsed my the degradation of females on Rush Limbaugh’s show that I can no longer stay silent. Your advertising dollars allow this man to call a law student testifying, before congress regarding women’s health issues, a “slut” and “prostitute”, and instructs her to make a “porn movie” so taxpayers can watch.
This type of vitriol should not be promoted in a country that values mothers, wives, daughters, aunts, sisters, girlfriends and female members of our military. As such, please discontinue your support of the Rush Limbaugh show.
Respectfully,
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
