People have been known to call Sarah Palin a “dumb ass.” Whether commenting on dike building, identifying where Ronald Reagan went to college, or giving a history lesson about Paul Revere warning the British, Sarah Palin has established herself as an irrefutable “dumb ass.” In case anyone forgot just how foolish she is, Sarah has reminded us in repeated interviews by using words that are not words. Those might include “refudiate,” “misunderestimate,” “squirmish,” and “wee-weed up.” She made reference to our “North Korean allies” and wrote on her hand while criticizing the President for using a teleprompter. She proved she doesn’t know about any U.S. Supreme Court cases other than Roe v. Wade, and thinks Africa is a country. She called Joe Biden “Senator O’Biden” while debating him.
Now Sarah Palin made reference to John King of CNN, the debate moderator, as a “dumb arse.” Palin wasn’t saying that in fact John had said anything foolish or incorrect. She justified calling him that name because he asked a question of Newt Gingrich during the debate last night about his ex-wife’s claim that Newt had asked her for an open-marriage. Palin suggested that John deserved this title because the American public could “care less” about the candidate’s marital history. The irony is obvious. If there is one thing that Sarah Palin has focused media attention on, it is her family. At the beginning of every show of Sarah Palin’s Alaska she declared that she loved Alaska like she loves her family. The title of her book was America by Heart; Reflections on Family, Faith, and Flag, and she devoted an entire chapter to “Raising Republicans.” She said “My family is my true North.” (pg. 91). “For me, the rule is put your family first, because our families are our most loyal friends and greatest blessings we have in life.(pg. 92) Thus it would seem out of character for Sarah Palin to criticize the media for reporting on a story that a candidate failed to honor the relationship with his family that Palin has cited as being so important. It would be like advocating abstinence education even though you were pregnant when you married. It would be like having a special needs child and then failing to meet his regular needs. It would be like calling an author a child molester when he had never done anything inappropriate to you or your children. It would be like saying that your daughter who has a three year old child is a virgin. It would be like saying that you are Undefeated when you lost the last election that you entered.
On second thought, this attack of the barracuda is in character. Not only was it predictable, but we could have written the transcript for Palin, and the only thing she would have to write in would be her choice of names to use…dumb ass, kook writer, corrupt bastard, puppy kicker, child molester, limp, impotent, gutless. Now the only question is who is the dumb ass? Is it the person asking the question at the GOP debate, or is it the person asking the question on Fox News about the question asked at the GOP debate. If the question asked wasn’t relevant, then how is the question about the question relevant?

Who is the dumbarse who authorized the building of a hockey rink on somebody’s personal property that put the town of Wasilla into major debt?
That wouldn’t be the same dumbarse who asked for money to build a bridge to no where?

But, bu,.but… Building that hockey rink meant she had free volunteer labor by the men working at the site? And all those windows and railings from the rink that grace her abode. Where did those come from. Ya know how she used the neighbors land as a road because she didn’t have access to the plot she bought. And when the neighbor protested, was told by Todd. T.T… After all she could do as she pleased in Wasilla, and no one was to say nay.
And no one says nay to the bitch, even today. The dumbarse Ailes, or the RNC, no one says no.

I’m not sure it’s irony so much as it is a case of deliberate obfuscation on her part, support for Todd’s favorite candidate and a chance to poke a stick at the MSM. The mean girl in the schoolyard is ba-a-a-ck, sniffing around the clown car for the chance to be relevant again.

I may not be a big Dr. Phil phan but something he likes to say seems appropriate about this Newtie boy matter: the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. Think this applies to the whole pay-lin bunch too? You betcha!

John Thomas,
Great observation…about Palin and Newt! If Callista thought it was ok to have an “open marriage” before, does she still think that?

jk
I’m guessing Newt made the usual claims and promises to Callista during their six year (!) affair: “my wife doesn’t understand me,” “I’m going to leave her.”
And, Callista is a good catholic who slept with another woman’s husband for all those years. So much for the sanctity of marriage, thou shall not commit adultery, thy shall not covet thy neighbor’s spouse, and no sex without the benefit of being wed.
Callista looks like she’d kill Newt if he asked for a divorce to marry another woman. I mean she literally looks like she would literally kill him.
I find them both unbelievably repulsive.

jk,
Since she thinks an “open marriage” is ok, he’ll not have to ask her for a divorce.

Shocking that someone who made a big stink about the word “retard” doesn’t have any problem with the word “dumb”. Of course, the historical definition of “dumb” is not what the current slang is, but still. Hypocrite.

It is really hard to find something that Sarah Palin did right as a mayor, governor or VP candidate that wasn’t self serving or done right.

If you find it, let me know. I still haven’t found it.

FEDUP!!!,
I guess that’s one way to look at this. Gingrich could try to sleep with enough women to get elected, but given his age that probably not too many votes. Also given his ex-wives attitude, I’m not sure he can count on more than one vote at a time, and that vote may be tied to the Tiffany’s account rather than sex.

Gingrich’s supporters, both inside and outside of South Carolina, are giving him a huge benefit of the doubt that they would never extend to any Democrat. They have truly gone off the deep end, because in their zeal to defeat a president they loathe beyond reason, they have in effect abandoned their stated values. With Newt’s many ethical issues in both his personal and professional lives, their support for someone who is also a political insider in spite of his phony populism shows just how fixated they are on ousting Obama at any cost. Another thing they like about him is that they want someone to get in Obama’s face, which shows how intellectually and emotionally stunted he and they are.
