On Monday Glenn Beck stated on his radio show that Rick Santorum could be “the next George Washington“. Not only is such a statement insulting to Washington’s legacy, it isn’t even based in reality. George Washington successfully fought for America’s independence, presided over the Constitutional Convention that drafted our Constitution, established precedents that still exist over two centuries after his death and above all, was a man who could have had a crown, but refused it to save a burgeoning country. What has Santorum done? He has equated homosexuality with incest and bestiality, stated that the Supreme Court should prohibit consenting adults from engaging in homosexual acts, and wants to repeal all federal funding for contraception, because as he stated, sex should be “procreative“. Not even hair powder and cow teeth could make Santorum anything remotely like George Washington.

Off topic. But interesting.
In a lengthy interview with Greta Van Susteren last night, Sarah made reference to she and Todd being accused of having affairs and mentioned National Enquirer. She was commiserating with Herman Cain and offering advice.
“I am glad Sarah brought out the sad truth that both her and her husband were sadly maligned and FALSELY ACCUSED OF SEXUAL IMPROPRIETY! We all stood by her and came to her defense when the lamestream media went after her and her husband with viciousness of ravenous wolves we have not seen so openly in the past. Troubled that when it came to Herman and Gloria Cain and their children and grandchildren, she seemed to play both sides of the fence though? I hope she sits down with them like you did, and at least watches the interviews that you had, so she will lead with her final words in your interview defending the Cain’s from such MUD throwing at their family and their marriage, rather than open with supporting the “possibility” of gloria allred calculated media hype of hypocrisy against yet another conservative, and only then trying to almost play both sides of the fence with her final words.
I EXPECT A LOT MORE OF SARAH PALIN! Why does Herman Cain sound a lot more honest and DIRECT than Sarah now?”

guest / Carolyn,
You need to use simple English so when whoever reads this to Sarah doesn’t have to search the whole trailer looking for a dictionary. For example… commiserating: to feel or express sympathy for someone’s suffering or unhappiness, just say feeling sorry for their dum a$$…. another example….impropriety:behaviour that is dishonest, socially unacceptable, or unsuitable for a particular situation, just say… “You know the stuff you did with Glen Rice and Todd’s friend!! She will better understand that! just a thought. Charlie T

Okay, Charlie. Thanks so much for the review.
I authored just the first two sentences and can’t take credit for the quote.
The quote came from Greta Van Susteren’s blog – a guy posting as “Anthony”, should you be interested in correcting his grammar and style.
There was a point to my comment here on THIS blog . The point isn’t the substance and content of a random comment from a pro-Sarah blog, wherein the host shamelessly calls Mrs. Palin “Governor.”
The point had more to do with the weird juxtaposition of Herman Cain and Sarah Palin, and more to the point, her bizarre commiseration with him (please choose whatever word you prefer) and applying the condition of being under scrutiny for sexual harassment allegations (real ones, too also!) to herself and her husband.
Who the heck would do that?
Get it?
As far as the “Carolyn” thing? Piss off, ‘kay?

OK you got a point…Sorry Guest for the Carolyn thing….. That was a little insensitive. But who pissed off Kay?

There are no dumber people in the US political arena (Mrs. P is just outside the arena – but she cannot stop opening her mouth and blurting out empty, ridiculous noises) than Santorum, Bachman, Cain, Perry, Palin and ………..yes, Newt! Newt is a grifter and a liar and a fraud. He thinks he is brilliant. He is devoted to his bank account and his gilded helmet-headed partner. But even more than that, and at a higher level than the others -longer words, more words, longer sentences, and glancing around so that everyone can see and hear that mouth spew out the invectives and the spittle. He thinks that is impressive. It is to mean girls and sassy, smartass men and women of all ages. He wants to sell his ignorant, meaningless, pointless books and dvd’s (and now his wife’s patriotic pandering drivel) to the misguided corporatist and christianist Americans. He islaughed at in other countries – as an American whale with a penchant for turning in wives the way others turn in their used and problematic cars – for new and shinier, newer models.
Look, these people are the D movie people, not B even. They are the deluded and the narcissistic among us. Their families are just as screwed up as they are. Of course, how would one be able to live with all of that dysfunction and drama and insanity? I am amazed that they are taken seriously and more amazed that millions of Americans give those nasty, ignorant fools money.

I think the Republican clown car we have seen pull up and stop right on our TV screens is filled with many who just want attention and money. They are needy, narcissistic persons who are otherwise low functioning with no moral compass and no intellectual curiosity, much less a sense of history, context, and the legacy, present day suffering and future direction of the United States of America and our people.
We are crying out for intelligent, strong, fearless and caring leaders. There is no one in that clown car able to step out of the three ring circus, that is the Republican party.
Cain
Perry
Bachman
Palin (the first to bite the dust)
Santorum
They are all a mess.
