“Dwarf advocate”? Is the advocate a dwarf? Or an advocate for?
This is so strange. After all the years of fighting to be known as “little people” and now “dwarf tossing” is in the news complete with an advocate for the activity. When one looks at a newspaper in the U.S., a TV news show or any media, the first thing to ask is who is behind this and what do they gain by it.
I have no idea who is behind this “dwarf tossing” story or why. So many human activities are controlled or are attempted to be controlled by self-described caring people who reportedly just want to “protect” something or someone. One example is men who want to “protect” unborn life even at the cost of the mother’s life. Easy for them to say.
What ever happened to journalism and the so-called right of the people to know the news? All “news” now seems to be propaganda or advocacy where you have to know the players to know how to read or listen. Many people just accept what they are told and don’t think about it – after all, famous person said it or famous person said the Bible says it.

I was looking for something else and found this Stephen Colbert story on Dwarf Tossing! It was so bizarre and at first I thought the whole thing was a joke! Evidently it’s not a joke!
I did a post several months ago about missing Walter Cronkite. I have thought of it many time, and I long for the days when you could count on the news being the news, and reporters reporting the truth.

Malia, have the Bachmann followers called, written, filed court injunctions, hacked your website? You’re treading on thin ice with vertically challenged posts.
All kidding aside, I could tell when Bachmann lost her media standing. They quit adjusting camera angles to compensate for her height. She is a tiny lady. Even with her clunky, high fashion elevator shoes, the other candidates tower over her. When I saw how small Bachmann really is, I understood her aggressive talk and bigger than life posturing.

She is tiny. When you see the candidates standing together on stage after the debate it is really obvious just how small she is.
