It was last July when Sarah Palin announced that it would be August or September before she would declare her intention to run. With only two weeks remaining in September, we are approaching Palin’s own deadline. If Grandma Palin were planning to run, who would be her targets? Who would she have to beat? Rick Perry is the GOP front-runner, and Obama of course would be the eventual target. Because Palin’s approach to campaigning is to attack her opponent, rather than running on any policies or platform, we can determine her intention to run based on the people she attacks. If she were not planning to run, there would be no benefit to attacking the front-runners in the Republican and/or Tea Parties. She has attacked the front runners. She is preparing to run.
When Mitt Romney was ahead in the polls, Palin launched her attack
Now that Rick Perry is the clear leader in the polls, she has lodged an all-out-attack on him.
In both her interview on Fox
and her facebook page she has singled- out Rick Perry to attack. In her interview with Greta Van Sustern, Palin used the word “preached” when talking about Governors who need to be “held accountable” for increasing the debt within their states. Of course the prayer meeting of Rick Perry with 30,000 of his prayer-warriors came to mind.
The Half-Term Ex-Governor specifically pointed out Michelle Bachmann’s attack on Rick Perry regarding his executive order requiring young girls in Texas to be given the Merck HPV immunization. Sarah Palin then compared her record as Governor of Alaska to Perry’s record in Texas, pointing out that she specifically considered that measure and rejected it. Finally in the interview, Greta gratuitously pointed out that Palin had not even declared her candidacy, and was in third place (obviously behind Romney and Perry).
If Sarah Palin were to run, and if she would have a chance to beat President Obama, it could only be the result of dissatisfaction with the economy. By focusing on “crony capitalism” Palin is directing the conversation to the economy. Forget her history of objecting to any tax increase to rein in the debt. Now that she is close to declaring her intentions, she is beginning to talk about the abuses in corporate America when they realize massive profits but pay little or no taxes.
“Cunning,” “Manipulative,” “Vindictive” are all adjectives we might use to describe Sarah Palin. In June 2010 those words were not the words chosen by Rick Perry when he described Sarah Palin as “one of the great Americans of our time.” It will be hard for Rick Perry to NOW say that Sarah Palin is no longer one of the Great Americans of our time, when she hasn’t done anything as a political leader since that time. If Perry points out the Ignorance of Sarah Palin, he looks like the fool to just be seeing what the rest of us saw three years ago.

Another way to look at it is she attacks the front runners because she will get more attention.
She is not running.

Mommom,
I thought for sure after the revelations about the one-nighter and the cocaine that she would never do it. Then I started reading the number of columnists that have attacked Joe McGinnis for writing what was reported to him, and I’m shocked. I also worry that people will decide that she will not run because its illogical. The problem is that she often behaves based on something other than logic.

I think she smells blood. She has been waiting for the candidates to shpot tjemselves in the foot. Now both bachman and perry have been wounded, making them weaker. She’s just biding her time, picking them off.
It will be interesting to see how they react. She gave newt kodos? Lol, and a back hand to the rest.

Are you trying to come out with something really outrageous so that people will read your blog? It’s now working malia. Get yourself a new hobby dear. I’m outta here now!

Michael,
I don’t know why you think I would write something just to get viewers. I don’t advertise and don’t make any money from the blog. I am distraught that so many think she is not running, when I see a definite pattern developing. In Greta’s interview she not only mentioned that Palin was 3rd in the polls but went out of her way to say that nobody knew what she would do and Palin affirmed that she was still making up her mind. I don’t think that was accidental. I think Fox is trying to build some evidence to justify keeping her on after they realistically knew she was running. It’s up to you and every other person reading to decide if you will ever come back. The only thing I will guarantee you is that I will write what I feel and because this is a blog, and I don’t have a boss, I write what I think without having to restrict my comments to what somebody tells me to write.

I dearly hope you are oh so wrong.I know Denmark is a little country up north, but what happens in Amerika have severe inflict on the rest of the world. That’s why I am concerned, that’s why I read your blog.BTW it seems that Bachmann shot herself in the foot with that vaccine thing.

Robert,
I think Bachmann is history. I think Palin will run, split the conservative vote, and rally the sane people in the country to re-elect Obama, but that’s over a year away and I realize that anything can happen. Thanks for caring.

I hope you are right Malia, the part about Obama getting re-elected, but my fear is the republians will vote for “anyone” other than Obama.

I have that same fear, but I am hopeful that they will draw the line at Sarah Palin.

I don’t know if her attacking Rick Perry is a sign of anything. Frankly she likes to talk shit and unfortunately she has an audience who listens. Her comments about Perry may be a sign that she approached Perry for VP or a Cabinet post, or possibly a little artificial sweetener in return for her endorsement and she didn’t get the answer she wanted.
September 18, 2011 at 1:14 pm
malialitman
Dinty,
Obviously you may be right, but if she were NOT running, I would expect that she would do her best to align herself with the front runners so that she would get the inside scoop, and continue her celebrity status by hob-nobbing with the elites. Given this attack, I think it can only mean one thing.

Only one thing wrong with this particular blog Malia. The pictures of the pitbulls. As an animal lover, and someone who has a son with a sweet dog that’s half pit,can we not use their pictures to reinforce the bad rap they get? Even though Palin is a bitch, likening her to a species I love(while loathing her to the core of my being) is just not right. There are more then enough pictures floating around the web with her showing her own special brand of foaming at the mouth madness to use instead. Thanks for all the writing you do to expose her-now,get some more going on Perry before he totally screws up my beloved Texas beyond repair.
September 18, 2011 at 1:12 pm

Anne,
As a dog lover myself, I realize that they are many great dogs, including pit bulls. I simply used these because of course SHE compares herself to a pit bull, and her behavior in attacking other politicians is appropriate to the image.
September 18, 2011 at 2:24 pm
Anne
That bitch isn’t worthy of my dogs crap.I’d liken her to a horses ass,but again,I love horses too much.I picture someone in one of those ancient insane asylums frothing at the mouth and bouncing off walls-that’s what she reminds me of.And-no disrespect meant towards the mentally ill being the daughter of someone that was bi-polar.In all seriousness,I really do think she is mentally ill and either not on meds,or on the wrong type/dosage.And I disagree with some of the comments here-I think you are quite concise, fair and intelligent with your blogs.I enjoy them immensely-keep them coming:)

Thanks for your support! I guess we will see, and its always clear that it is my view, so if she doesn’t run, everyone will say see I told you, and I’ll say you’re right and I can do something else with my life. Until then I’ll remain vigilant.

I dunno Malia, wouldn’t raling against greedy corporations who don’t pay enough taxes and abuse tax loopholes make her sound like Obama? Wouldn’t that make it easy for him to thank her for agreeing with him?
I got a kick out of how she was taking credit for what the rep candidates were talking about, lol, yeah, like they wait for her lead. Gag!
September 18, 2011 at 1:48 pm
Branch Palidians
Here’s why she isn’t running;
1) She’s still employed by Faux propaganda.
2) She quit on her constituents.
3) Her tea party rhetoric doesn’t match her actual record of growing government in Alaska. She signed the two largest budgets in the history of Alaska.
4) AGIA is a complete bust. The state spent millions on the pipeline to nowhere.
5) Guilty of ethics violation.
6) Lies, lies and more lies!

Branch,
I hope you are right, but remember you are using logic, and we shouldn’t asume the same is true of Palin.

MissSunshine
Sad to say I expect her to show up every four years and make a spectacle of herself.
This is the thing; the US has a population of about 300 million people. Even if she appeals to only a small fraction, it is still enough people/donations to maintain a very nice lifestyle.
September 18, 2011 at 3:34 pm
malialitman
Miss sunshine,
I think you are right! Given the absence of limitations on what she can do with donations, she’ll be collecting money for a long time. If she runs but is unsuccessful it will be somebody else’s fault, and people will give her money because they feel sorry for her. If she announces she isn’t running, why would people give her money?
September 18, 2011 at 3:11 pm
Sheesh
I can see your logic about SP’s lack of logic but I’m still on the fence about a run. She needs to retain her core support somehow and if she doesn’t announce a run she risks losing what little there is left. I was watching Fox News Sunday this morning and the panel was discussing the Perry/Romney dust up. They have pretty much written off the rest of the field at this point and all feel Romney will likely emerge as the nom. Interesting to note that the consensus among conservative pundits is that Chris Christie may be convinced he needs to enter to add yet another voice. At no point in the conversation was SP’s name ever mentioned. She’s a non-person at this point. She will make an announcement as promised. But does she throw her hat in for a brief run to keep that core happy or announce that this latest round of attacks is too much for her family? She’s done regardless. I won’t rest until she is completely exposed for the fraud she is.
September 18, 2011 at 3:31 pm
malialitman
Sheesh,
If she announces a run, but doesn’t work hard to stay in the mix very long, it prolongs her celebrity, and more will give her more money.
September 18, 2011 at 3:49 pm
Sheesh
I agree. With SP it’s really about the money and the attention. She wants titles but doesnt want the work that goes with it. Her history of grifting bears this out I think. I think if she does announce a run she’ll find a way to exit before she really has to step up to the plate and participate in debates. Actually I would love to see her run just to see the opposition cannibalize her in a debate. She’d really look like the idiot she is. She may already have her exit strategy in place to avoid such scenarios.

I think she will run, or at least she is planning on running. I think you have it right, Malia. Being elected president is her big life goal and she isn’t likely to back off on that if there is any chance to achieve it.

Thanks! At least one person agrees with me. I just don’t see any upside to criticizing the potential GOP front-runners is she is NOT running. Why would she do that?

Yep, she’s still playing. If it were I, I would have dropped it, hung my head in shame, tried to improve people’s opinion of me and backed out BUT not Sarah. She only cares about what she wants. She is sticking to her game and staying relevant by criticizing her competition.

She will try to use the latest in McG’s book, exposing how very sleazy she is, to her advantage, and play “the poor victim” as usual. What people really need to see is just how very vindictive and vicious she is, and how she abused her power, and how she manipulates and intimidates others by fear tactics. She is immature and ignorant, and does not have any answers to our country’s problems. She depends on being able to get in there and stir up trouble and criticize others, hoping to make herself look better. Hopefully, it won’t work.
By stalling so much as she still tries to “decide” if she will run for POTUS, she is turning off some of her base. We’ll have to wait and see what happens in the next couple of weeks. Has she come out at all in the last couple of days and commented on the McG book yet?’

This is an awesome piece of humor. Not becoming of anyone who would purvey any type of intelligence or political knowledge, but given so many of the unbecoming graphics, I assume that the woman writting this is a bit more bitter than she should be if she wanted to appear relevant anyway. So, while juvenile writing style and misinformed opinion here did give me a laugh, I can’t possibly take this seriously or even bother to argue. It would be unfair to discuss policy, political history, or anytype of fact with a wayward hack who uses Governor Palin to get hits on a free wordpress blog. I will add to this that you should at least take a class in Poli Sci or maybe history… I wasted 5 minutes of my life on a blog written by someone lacking the necessary education to say anything of substance. It must always be a slow news day in the life of Malia Litman. At least you took the time to post the Video for those of us in need of something worth hearing or listening to. Good interview on Governor Palin’s part. Sorry you cannot manage to meet her standards.

Since you belong to a criminal organization, Organize 4 Palin, it is difficult to take a single word you type as anything close to reality. Reality is in direct opposition to the world you live in, and thankfully there are too few Americans who agree with you to convert the true reality into your mental illness clouded world. Real Americans know that $arah is a liar, cheat and thief.

Half term governor and she has no standards. What’s the matter? Are the ammonia fumes from the sea of pee getting to you? Are you going to stamp your feet when she doesn’t run? Or runs and looses? She’s a miserable, narcissistic wretch who doesn’t deserve to even breathe.

Gibberish. Palin is a nutcase. Simple as that. Malia Litman has worked tirelessly to expose the fraud and hypocrisy that is Sarah Paling and the entire Palin/Heath gang for a very long time.

September 18, 2011 at 6:08 pm
Oh Poppy
Part of me says Sarah is not going to run for several reasons.
1) She claims to be a momma grizzly protecting her children and believe me Sarah’s whorie life style, her kid’s neglect, corruption, lies, mental status, education, drug abuses, scams and vindictiveness has yet to be told. Sarah’s kids hasn’t heard the whole story about their mom. I’m not sure she wants them to hear it. On the other hand Sarah only cares about Sarah, the hell with everybody else. Just ask her kids and the Alaskan people.
2) Sarah couldn’t take being criticized as governor and hated her damn job, well Sarah hasn’t seen anything yet. You can bet Sarah will catch hell from
America.
Malia I hope you right that Sarah will run because everybody is waiting for the infighting that will happen.
My popcorn popper is plugged in and ready to go.
Let’s do this Sarah, it will be like watching the tv show Bully Beatdown!

Malia, I’ll be celebrating if she does run. Imagine the shock, awe and laughter she would bring to the election. Personally, I don’t think she could ever beat Obama. A lot of Democrats think this way. We would love to see her on a stage in debate with Obama. Remember, the debate questions are not presented and answered (like Fox does) before the debate

grammy11,
I know you are right, and it would be an endless supply of humorous material for me, but I hope she just goes away. I don’t want to EVER see the day that she could even be considered for the office of the Presidency. It would be like raising the debt ceiling. Just the potential for a disaster hurt the US, and I think just the potential of President Palin would be so dangerous for the US.

I think she will run, but not on the GOP ticket. I see the Sea of Pee soliciting donations for the non-tax deductible Organize 4 Palin. They are building a war chest for something, and O4P can spend it any way they want, thanks to Citizens United. O4P shares some of the staff of Citizens United…
When she declares, it will be as an outsider with the goal of reform – neither term describes her, and she has no chance as a third party candidate. She can and will ruin the election for the GOP, but that is what they really want anyway – to complain for 4 more years instead of working on solutions to the mess they made.
What conservatives really want is a return to 1994, when their policies made a few people wealthy, the wealthy very wealthy, and the poor having shorter lifespans.

newmexicogold,
You’re right. I certainly couldn’t predict if she will run as a Republican, and Independent, a Tea Party Candidate….Who knows?

I bet she will run on a T-party/Independent platform. She burned the RNC in 2008, and I bet she still has some of the nicer pieces of clothing ($2,000+ jackets, $800+ shoes) stashed away somewhere just to gloat over.

Joes book isn’t even out yet!!! Have all these ” critics” even read it?? Also it is making ALOT of news and that is what matters. The average Joe doesnt read all the reviews. They hear Palin had affairs, one with a black man and she snorted coke! Also Joes book reveals at least one thing he had to get from Ailes himself, about not letting Sarah use the Fox studio in her home for the blood libel speech. Wouldn’t he fire her if she was running?? You may be right. Who knows. But I still think Joes book has and will continue to do a lot of damage. And there are two more books and that movie coming.
I’m actually really worried about Perry! Yikes! He is scary!!!

Lisabeth,
I’m very scared of Perry too! He’s leading in the polls now, and that makes him dangerous. It seems he has control of a lot of money and that makes him even more dangerous. Even if you ignore his politics, just what he has done with the Texas fires, and the toxic waste dump should make everyone, Republicans and Democrats, very scared!

HAHA: There’s nothing like knowing your subject matter, huh? She’s running, she’ll win the nomination, and then she’ll send Obumbler home.
If you’d have bothered to research her positions and statements, you’d know that she proposed a complete elimination of the corporate tax but also a complete elimination of corporate welfare at her speech in Iowa on 9/3/11.
One she gets all of this done, as your liberal minds begin to implode, and the nation begins to recover from the economic incompetence of Bush and the sheer malevolence of Obama, you’re going to hate her more than ever.
I also wonder this: Once she gets into this race, what will be offered by those who have claimed she’s merely been milking her supporters?
September 19, 2011 at 9:55 am
malialitman
MarkAmerica,
You see there is a major disconnect here. She says whatever suits her purposes at the time. When she was Governor of Alaska, she changed the way Alaskans shared the profits with oil and gas companies, by basically taxing them. Now Sean Parnell is having to undo what she did because Corporations are pulling out of Alaska due to having to pay such high taxes. Now that she is running and no longer the Governor, she says she is in favor of no taxes on corporate America, and yet she is in favor of balancing the budget which we clearly can’t do without more revenue. Since she is not really a politician, she can say contradictory things, and please everyone.
September 19, 2011 at 6:10 pm
MarkAmerica
Malia, Again, this signifies your lack of knowledge of the subject, in this case economics. If you want more revenues, you lower the rates to spur growth, thus growing the total economy, and the total revenues collected. This has been proven twice in the last 30 years.

Anyone who still, after the years of scandals involving Palin being exposed over and over again, and with the severe dysfunction of the Palins on view almost every day in the past couple of years – anyone who thinks she is sane enough to function in any elected capacity needs to re-examine why they are so deluded or stuck or fooled. I am in therapy for other reasons. But I am not deluded. Most Americans and all of the rest of the world see that Palin is a buffoon.
