A variety of comments filled this blog yesterday. In particular two comments deserve further attention, by all readers. “Frozen Vogler” provided this link:
This is a record from the campaign records filed with the state of Alaska for the period of 8-13-2006 through 10-6-2006. These are records filed by Sarah Palin’s representatives for campaign contributions made during her campaign for Governor of Alaska. Pay particular attention to item #7 which is a contribution by Shailey Tripp for “in-kind” contributions. There is no information provided to disclose what type of “in-kind” services were given. However this would be consistent with the statements made by Shailey Tripp in her interview. Thanks Frozen Vogler for this confirmation.
Also, very enlightening, was the comment by “kaShawn Thomas.” I don’t usually post comments that have this type of language, but I made an exception for this one. Here is the unedited comment posted yesterday:

I know you are probably wondering who this is, and why they would use an alternate spelling for “shit” but use the correct spelling for “fuck.” I didn’t get bogged down in such minutia. If this is the same Kashawn Thomas I found on Facebook, the one I called and left a message on her machine with my name and number, the one that I told when she called back that my name was Malia Litman (not a low life piece of shyt (sic)), and the one I asked if she might be willing to talk with me about the Palins, then she is the one who told me that she already had an “exclusive” with someone else, and hung up the phone.
A person named “Kashawn Thomas” was arrested the same day as Shailey Tripp. The case number for each is identical, suggesting to me that they were arrested at the same time and as a result of the same investigation. The Court records reflect that a “Kashawn Thomas” was charged with prostitution.
The records reflect that she pled “no contest” to the charges. As part of her punishment, the records reflect that the police would not be returning the “items seized”. The public records that I have reviewed did not list or describe the “items seized.”
If this linguistic genius is the same Kashawn Thomas who was arrested with Shailey Tripp, and the Ancorage Police Department does, or did have, Kashawn Thomas’ cell phone, they should have been able to easily obtain records of calls placed or received to or from that phone. Where do you think that phone is today? How easy would it have been for the APD to obtain the phone records? Was there somebody’s name in the records that they wanted to protect?

Thanks for your support! Yes, I just returned from a trip out of town for my daughter’s basketball tournament. Yesterday was the day that I had the most traffic for this blog, but I left my home at 8:00 am, and couldn’t get to a computer, of any sort, until around 3:00. My point is that my kids, and my family really ARE the most important part of my life, and I only have one highschool age child at home. Funny thing…my other two kids are in college! Every day I consider the difference in my life, and Palin’s. It’s not that one of us is better than the other, but when I say that my kids are the most important part of my life, I REALLY mean it. Sorry that I can only speculate at this point…but it sounds like this person was willing to play nice and not involve the Palins.
Now that things are starting to leak out, however, are their local cops trying to cover for the family?? Maybe KaShawn was expecting to get her things back, and only recently informed that they decided to keep/bury the evidence as a result of blogs like this catching on – instead of returning her cell phone, etc.
Hopefully we’ll hear of her or from her soon…but I’d be willing to bet that her “exclusive” with someone else was more like a Palin payoff not to speak.

No doubt the hope was to plea these cases out as soon as possible due to what may come to light if they go to trial. In Kashawn’s case she was just 18 1/2 when this arrest occurred and if any records showed contact between her and Todd before she was 18 you can bet Sarah did all she could to make this all go away.
However, I have not heard anyone say Todd had sex with anyone other than Shailey so right now it is all speculation.
The in kind donations have been public knowledge since this all came to light and Shailey admitted she donated services and products to the campaign – although she mentioned to Gryphen she thought the donations were going to a real estate company so who knows.
Regardless of what all comes of this you can bet the Palins have far more in their dirty little closet of secrets that will never come out……… unless Willow or Piper get tired of their roles and tell all. Sadly, as young as Piper is I think she may well know far more than any of the other kids. People underestimate little kids and what they understand so they discuss more in front of them.
Time will tell.

The real importance to me about this information is that it partially confirms Shailey’s story, and establishes a connection between Shailey and the Palins from long ago! Malia

I think the gift certificates mainly show the connection and where it began. Todd could have gotten them thinking it made his trips to the spa more legit.
I think Sarah has always known and didn’t care that Todd was getting some on the side. The only thing she cared about was it not becoming public and that got blown.
OT Have you noticed that RAM isn’t writing any FB posts for SP now. Nothing for the last couple of weeks.

we have no reason to suspect the donations werent legit . Shailey said her affair didnt start until after palin was elected. i think thats a big role in todd deciding to stray. when a person runs for office, all her/his energy is focused on that pursuit. meghan meghans book comes to mind (crazy sex). Theres no evidence at all that todd strayed prior to this. i think higher office is the cancer of all relationships.

KaShawn’s reply was to “M”, not to the body of your post, therefore she might be upset with someone other than you. Even a woman who is normally cheerful and friendly is apt to be prickly and resentful if her life is so exposed to common speculation.
Since KaShawn and Shailey were arrested at the same time, it is quite possible that the police seized some stuff from both women. We know only that items seized from KaShawn won’t be returned. They probably BOTH had cellphones and perhaps even an additional PDA… they would need some way to calendar, and plan for their appointments, and keep track of hours/sessions. The police could honestly say “no rolodex” while fondling a cellphone and thumbing through the list of contacts and personal details.
If the Police have phone or other records showing the Palin’s home phone number (easy to compare), or the numbers of any other Pillars of the Community, they’d certainly quash the evidence. However, if I’m remembering the case of the DC Madame correctly, wasn’t it possible for reporters to get the phone company to cough up its records? This sort of 3rd party record might be what Shailey is referring to.
On the matter of the in-kind donations, if Shailey thought she was helping a realtor’s group and they instead were diverted to a politician’s campaign, one must wonder who asked for the contribution, and who then used the certificates and products. We have seen the Swag Hag in action, multiple times, yet that is only circumstantial evidence.

That would be Kristan Cole of ReMax. Her mother, Cheryl Moseley King did indeed embezzle over $700,000 from 2 trust funds….one in Kamloops, British Columbia and one in Iowa. She was convicted but was let out of jail due to health reasons.

Spitzer was attorney general, not DA, before being governor. He was busted for being a client of a prostitution ring. The reason it was such a big deal and caused him to resign from office was because as attorney general, he prosecuted prosecution rings. And then he got caught using them for personal pleasure.

There is no telling who could be found in KaShawn’s phone records, the only for sure thing is the Department of Law will cover up those with power. The DOL (attorney general office everywhere else) is owned by the governor in Alaska. This means they do what Gov. Parnel (or as I like to call him, Palin with a penis) tells them. They use underhanded, unethical tactics and demonization rather than presenting real evidence to argue a case. This works particularly well if the defendant is completely innocent and is being railroaded for political or retaliatory reasons.

It’s my understanding this was part of a larger sweep, not a tip. The police also confirmed it was not the result of a tip. And I think if anything, the Palins would dually threaten/bribe the prostitutes, not arrest them and give them motive to spill the beans. All Sarah Palin has to do is hand Shailey a check. Why she hasn’t, I don’t know. And we can’t say it’s because Shailey isn’t interested in money, because her friend shopped her story around for her and she was in the middle of selling her story to the Enquirer when it all, somehow fizzled.

I have no idea, since I never practiced criminal law and didn’t practice in Alaska any type of law. What seems most unusual to me is that the Anchorage PD issued a press release to the National Enquirer. I have not hear of any city’s police department issuing a press release to the NE for any reason. It was also interesting that Sarah didn’t deny the allegations until the Police did, and that took about a week. Something smells bad to me. Malia

That is the biggest tell of all Malia. The fact that APD even addressed this issue with the NE is incriminating on the part of the Palin’s and APD. Police departments absolutely do not issue press releases to gossip rages under any circumstances. Their willingness to do so screams of Palin’s tampering. That and the fact that same press release is not on their official list of PR. This was a favor to the palin’s that will end up biting them in the ass in the long run.

Ahem, Kristan Cole and her husband own a realty company. Someone from their office or even Kristan or her hubby could have been fundraising for Sarah.
Kristan is also in charge of Sarah’s AK trust fund. Kristan’s mother was charged and convicted of embezzlement.
Who knows who got to use the gift certificates, they may have been divided among family and friends. This may have been how Todd came to know of Shailey’s services, he may have asked for a “happy ending”.
I’m glad Shailey is not still in AK.
I can only imagine what she may have heard the police say. Who else could have used one of those gift certificates, gee ya think maybe Parnell?

Both Glassner and Courter left the McCain campaign in July 2008, possibly due to the news reports linking them to IDT and the investigations of IDT’s activities in Haiti. Glassner later returned to work with Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin ( in both 2008 and 2011 apparently).
As a former US Representative before he was elected Governor of New Jersey, Jim Courter participated in the Iran Contra hearings as a US representative from New Jersey. The New York Times reported on this.

Maybe Shailey sent kaShawn some clients, at least one of whom is willing to testify, so they use that witness to charge Shailey with pimping (sort of) and KaShawn with being a prostitute.
Maybe none of the men (or the one man) who paid Shailey for sex are willing to testify against her. It could be Todd protecting Shailey more than the APD protecting Todd.
I’m not sure Todd cares about Shailey’s revelations. He was a nice, considerate client seeing an intelligent but financially strapped woman. He does not seem to be the emasculated lapdog or closet gay some portray. Still, the sex story is unimportant; the Babygate aspect is important.

It’s people like you that inspire me. I won’t quit. I started this blog with an average of 10 views per day, which were just my friends and family. With no connection to the media or the world of politics, I didn’t think that this blog would ever be read by many, but my reason for persisting was a belief that we should all do all we could to make sure Palin never became associated with the White House. Now one year later, I have surpassed 450,000 views and we are averaging over 4000 per day. That’s enough to be noticed nationally, and yes, our voices ARE being heard. I was going to say the same thing Bear Woman said about the cell phone records. KaShawn should be able to get detailed records from her provider, either in person or via internet. I can go onto my account on the internet and pull up detailed records from months in the past. However, if did occur to me that it might be a pre-paid cell phone and I’m not sure that a user can get those records.

I think Brad Hanson’s wife or ex-wife is a supervisor for the phone company that provides service to Alaska (Matanuska Telephone Association maybe?) Not sure if that covers Anchorage. But there’s probably someone who attends Jerry Prevo’s church or some other buddy who can “take care of” the phone records for Sarah and Todd.

First, thank you Malia for being here, for doing this post, and for indicating in a comment downpost that you have strong reasons/beliefs for continuing to expose Sarah Palin as a fraud and keep her from ever approaching the White House! This comment is just to address Trippy from above who stated that it seems that Ms. Tripp and Todd began their relationship during or after
Sarah began her run for Governor and that it might have been in part attributed to Sarah’s attentions being on that goal rather than on her marriage, but remember, and re-investigate (those who have time; I do not at this time) that when Sarah was “Governor” it was in fact Todd who seemed to be running the show. Sarah was absent much of the time;Todd was answering emails, passing along messages, making decisions. WHAT WAS REALLY HAPPENING? I really want to know. Where was Sarah? She apparently was not giving her time or attention to Todd; but was also not giving what she should have been to the Office of
Governor of the State of Alaska.

Check the emails that were made public to verify that Todd was in fact re running the show much of the time; even signing off on leave reports, etc. And he seemed to be deciding what correspondence Sarah would respond to.

Can people still access phone records after a certain period of time or after switching services? Also too, these phone may have been bought by others due to credit ratings or in KaShawns case being underage.

Something I found interesting in an intriguing way is that Shailey says on her blog this was not about Sarah Palin, (that part had a life of its own), but that it was about Todd.
I hope he was not physically rough with her, or emotionally/mentally/controlling type abusive.

Late to the party, but I just saw this comment left by Shailey (Shaytripp) on her latest blog entry:
“And there is illegal activity going on here that people should know about. No one will report it. I am not allowed to say it but there is more going on than maybe people realize. I can only hope that I will one day legally and safely be able to say what I really want to say.”
So it looks like there is a lot more involved here than just sex for money, and it apparently has to do with Todd. It does not sound like it has anything to do with babygate because Shailey says on her home page:
“This was never intended to be about Sarah in any way. It was to be about Todd. I went to great lengths to keep anything between Sarah and I confidential. Another party made the connection.”
And so the plot thickens…
