Congresswoman Giffords is not going home. She is being transferred to a rehab facility.

I think it is very good to hear that she may be released soon; however, it is too bad that friends of her mother can’t keep her email note to them more private?
My mother read get well cards in the hospital…but six months later she said she only remembered being in the hospital 2 days, when she was actually in for 10 days, so I doubt she remembered what she read. Hopefully Giffords will be back to more full awareness soon. I think a major step is getting off all those darn drugs that they give you in the hospital.

Go home??? That would be cruel.
I thought she would be going to rehab … and in fact that’s what the linked-to article says, with the likely centres being in Houston and New York.

Meena, Yes, I too am thrilled! I have to be in Houston in a couple of weeks, so if she is able to have company, I may try to visit her. Malia
